The final week of blind auditions begins, as coaches Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton scramble to complete their teams.
On the last night of blind auditions, the coaches go down to the wire to fill the last slots on their teams.
The battle rounds begin and the coaches enlist the help of top recording artists to offer their knowledge and skills as advisers. Blake Shelton teams up with Rascal Flatts, Adam Levine with Joe Jonas, Jennifer Hudson with Kelly Rowland, and Miley Cyrus with her father, Billy Ray Cyrus.
Two of Jennifer's artists are handed the tall order of taking on a beloved Whitney Houston #1 song. Blake and Rascal Flatts are impressed by Blake's left of center rock artists, whose electrifying performance of a 90's alt rock hit puts Blake in an agonizing position and the other coaches on notice. Adam and Joe Jonas task two of Adam's powerhouse vocalists to put their own spin on a current chart-topping pop song, and their emotional delivery leaves the coaches floored. Blake, Jennifer, and Miley each have one steal left. Adam has two, and is on the hunt.
Blake, Jennifer, Miley, and Adam each have one steal left, and surprises abound as the battle rounds continue with electrifying performances and debilitating decisions. Miley shocks and breaks with precedent by making a special, and very significant, acquisition to her team. Although Jennifer has a specific vision for what she is looking for with her remaining steal, she finds competition with another coach who also has an eye out.
The battles go out with a bang tonight as Blake's final pairing lights up the stage with an energetic performance of a country anthem, leaving Blake and the other coaches distraught that he is the only one left with a steal. Jennifer surprises her two male R&B artists with an unexpected yet brilliant song choice as their impressive vocal acrobatics literally get Kelly Rowland out of her seat during rehearsal. With Billy Ray declaring it a "full circle moment," Miley's two female country artists are thrilled by her choice to bestow upon them a song of special significance to her family.
The knockout rounds begin with coaches Miley Cyrus, Jenifer Hudson, Adam Levine, and Blake Shelton's strongest team members remaining from the battle rounds. The artists will be paired against a teammate once more, but this time they will each select their own song to perform individually, while their direct competitor watches and waits. Incoming Season 14 coach, Grammy Award-winning and music sensation, Kelly Clarkson, will serve as a key adviser and be on hand to work with all of the coaches and their teams as they prepare the artists for this challenge. The coaches alone will choose the winner from their team to move on to the Playoff shows and the artist not selected will be available to be stolen by another coach.
