I'm glad that these 10 episodes weren't for nothing but at the same time I really wish that the writing didn't leave so much potential untapped.

The Civic Republic is one big eugenics project? Ok, then why wouldn't they have actively combed through a big functioning community for "gifted people"? Are they really going for a Chosen One instead? And could they really do without that many people and/or other communities if they presumably want the most "bright minds" that they can get their hands on? It's not like a lower absolute number of births increases their chances... Then again, maybe this is already a play on "Gattaca was a stupid idea all along and y'all missed the point of the movie".

I knew it was Huck who was to blame for Percy and his Uncle. I actually like how they did the ending with Hope's declaration to Iris as well as the ending with Felix, and a little bit of the tail end of Elton's dialogue. However since I don't really like the actress playing Huck, I would have preferred it if she had been taken out.
Also the season was way to short!

Through the whole series I have been making comments, and giving every episode a rate. But is the final chapter the one I really have been wanting to try to make a fair statement about the show.
I must admit that is not what I expect; I'm going to be clear, the show is definitely average, is not that bad nor that good. The weakness point in the story are the C.R. objectives, they're pitifully non realistic... So that only achieves one thing, the entire structure of the argument shakes over doubtful foundations.
Maybe, just maybe, the show's crew can reinforce the story and give a more believable (despite de obvious fantasy behind the story) argument on S2...
6/10. ;(

"Every model shows that if we don't make progress in the next 20 years, human life will be gone from this planet"

Here is a thought: Maybe try not to kill whole settlements then and factor that in.
If she is a scientist in any field that matters to the problem (Sorry Philosophy, Arts, Gender Studies, etc. but you don't) she should know that it is impossible to make reliable models without a large enough sample-size. From what I've seen they don't have nearly enough people to gather a sample that large from enough points on the planet.

Cultures ability reacting to change differs. And I think one based on christianity might be the worst point to start from, since it is designed to actively hinder change.

I really do not like the Huck actor. She always annoys me and this show is really really bad.
