FYI, there is a post credit scene. Don't miss it.
"Hey gang, let's check out that abandoned school!" What could go wrong? facepalm We barely get to see the most interesting part of this show, the CRM storyline. That part of the plot has been tacked onto the end of the last two episodes, and in this episode, - after - the closing credits, which was an odd decision. Once again, nothing much happens in this episode except that we get to see Hope and Iris' father for the first time. Oh, yeah, Silas finally snapped and went postal on a zombie. Every once in a while, the show gives us some interesting elements, like in episode 3 when one of the characters said, "Son of a motherf ..." and then the camera quickly cut away. In this episode when Silas and Iris are dancing in the gym after some banter that I can't imagine anyone caring about, Iris imagines (I think) an enchanted moment in which they are surrounded by their fellow high schoolers dancing around them. And in another scene early in the episode, we see a flashback to when a girl and boy who were students pass by and cut flirty glances at each other. These people are all probably dead, of course, but amid all the mediocre to bad acting and drearily banal dialogue, it's at least fun to look for these elements.
WHY CARRY WEAPONS AROUND IF YOU DON’T INTEND TO USE THEM? Every one of these kids hold them for no other reason than to look cool. Finally the dude uses his badass wrench, then literally drops it to punch the zombie instead. If his hand hit a tooth, would that not be considered a bite?
I feel like I’m watching something on The CW. The Walking Dead Lite. This has to get better, or I don’t think I can withstand another season. The acting needs to improve. It’s really rough. The stakes need to be higher. The writing needs to be smarter. NY is kinda, ummm, BIG. How are they gonna find a hidden base? The only interesting thing about this show is this secretive group — which we only see for a few minutes per episode. Awesome.
"You've seen this before, right?" Shines torch on forearm.
WTF? Did they forget to add the design in post or something? Where was the tattoo??
It's so boring, lifeless and pointless that I watch half an episode per day.
Why you're watching, some might ask. Just out of fomo for Rick's storyline
i've been on a three week yawn. someone call ripley's believe it or not

What an absolute BORE. There's nothing interesting about this show.... and I'm a pretty open minded guy. I enjoyed the much hated 6-8th season of TWD too.......
-Acting is piss poor. The only actress who has any kind of charisma is Iris's and she is far out of everyone else's league here.... Everyone else is an absolute bore to watch (No offense to the actors, the scripts they were given aren't doing any favors)
- Writing is so dull and lifeless it feels like it was automatically generated by a bot. I just don't care about the characters.... and I would love to.
- Nothing is happening. This makes Scott Gimple's episode padding look tolerable. The only things of any note happen at the end of each episode when they show a small glimpse of the CRM
And finally after all TWD we've had in the last 10 years, its hard to sympathies with these kids flipping the F** out over a single slow, old, degraded zombie.
I'll keep watching because I want to know about the CRM and care about the bigger picture but man, nothing the show itself is presenting us is worth note....
