Walking straight up to the potentially hostile (and armed) group in an enclosed area and declaring you're there to fight is possibly the dumbest thing they could've done. I assume Rick was hoping to intimidate them into not fighting, but he had no reason to think that it would work whatsoever. Saved by the deus ex machina of the abuela.
Also, learning the true nature of that settlement or whatever you want to call it makes the fact they kidnapped Glenn make even less sense.

I thought the interaction between Rick's group and the Vatos was a little goofy, but the ending really got to me!
