Gynotopia... okay I get her theory cause I also had the same hypothesis that an all women community would thrive BUT I think the first problem with her theory is that the girls were paired up so they brought drama with themselves, so it should’ve been 8 girls from totally different backgrounds to prove her theory (but for the show of course it makes sense) and also that the girls have no resources other than Fatin’s wardrobe.
And for them it’s been two weeks and they still haven’t properly set a base camp??? Like staying at the shore with their tiki tent was dumb, it seems that just behind the shore there’s a more elevated terrain, and it’s still close to the shore so why not build something there???
And how awful can Leah be??? So far She’s had beef with Shelby, Rachel, and Fatin!!! She’s a deeply troubled individual, like yeah she has a point of having suspicions about the island, but she picks a fight with everyone!!!
It was cool getting to know the real Jeanette, she seemed like a really cool person, I don’t get her reasoning at all for joining that project, cause from the start she knew it involved the girls being powerless so that last second regret is bs.
So, who was surprised on that kiss? Nobody. But finally it happened.
Leah is the only one who have a little sense! She is not doing it in a good way, but the only one who is thinking. (Except Dot.)
And sorry for saying this. But the actress who played Nora is the weak link. She is terrible in acting. And it bothers me so much, that I just can't feel sorry for Nora. I don't even know how she get this role.
ig they got the other halopen for martha thats why she's ok now?
all this time i thought leah was using her victim card whilst in denial bc she was scared but after this episode its very clear she just likes to point fingers and picks fights.
as for their camp, again, they're teens with not much experience in the wilderness except for dot, wouldn't really expect them to fully make a whole basecamp considering they relocated again, it would just be so tiring to build another basecamp. tho it would be more effective if they set camp on a higher ground so if the waves starts to act up again they would be fine or at least evacuate to more higher ground.
and it is kinda annoying none of the girls besides leah (unfortunately) even got the gist they were there on purpose, ig bc they're teens and are trying to stay positive and sane but someone other than leah and dot gotta have theories about their situation atp with all the strange occurrences happening there.
pretty strong episode, things heated and subsidied immediately leaving the rest to tie loose ends.
it seems like the writers are trying to justified her reason to do this project.
wheres the politics? the sponsors? who did the funding? whats the risks shes facing if she didn't do the project? the downside if the project didn't work? what was she after besides gynotopia? money? even if she was purely doing it for the good she haven't hit rock bottom. she just hit the rock. so this entire project felt purely just because she can and because of her ego
