when The X-Files meets The Thing

I'd say it's been somewhat interesting to be watching this episode in 2020.

Best episode so far!
So much tension and the suspense was incredible!

The best episode, overall, of the season yet. It almost made it. This homage/remake of the 1982 film The Thing (including a number of direct references) almost made it through an entire episode without doing something obviously stupid. It's the first episode with no outright cringe (outside of characters doing something moronic), which was a relief. Granted, I was young when I first saw The X-Files, but I was beginning to think I had it completely wrong. This is a nice 6 out of 10. Almost a 7. There's no excuse for unintentionally bad writing. Content is king. Then again, based on this episode, I may not be the person writing this.

Absolutely loved this episode. The Thing is my favorite movie of all time and this manages to both - play on the best parts of that movie AND provide some great originality. Duchovny and Anderson are great as usual, but the guest cast was fantastic too. Jeff Kober always manages to play the guy you don't or wouldn't trust (and rightfully so lol) really well. Xander Berkeley and Felicity Huffman have good chemistry so when everyone starts to suspect each other of having the parasite, you can believe they would side with each other irrationally. Highly recommended even if you don't want to watch any other episode.

if they keep driling deeper, they may find when life was normal.

I'm kind of surprised that nobody said anything about this, but that last guy Dr. Hodge was not actually checked. He only said that they were all tested and were negative, he could have made it up.

Very tense and a good set of twists and turns in the plot. Seeing Scully and Mulder like this changes their dynamic. I loved it.

This episode was very good and entertaining. The best episode so far. In the others before this, I've been confused each time lol

"Ice" is a very good episode, but is there just one worm that infects a body and then that body infects another? That's why there can be only one worm per host? I guess.

Secondary characters in this episode: None

I knew Bear looked familiar, so I looked him up. Jeff Kober played Iko in "Repentance" (Star Trek: Voyager 7x13). The alien makeup couldn't cover that distinctive hair.
