Well 10th season, definitely the weakest one so far. Unfortunately nostalgy and comic element cannot save the whole show.
And the final? Completely empty, no context or building atmosphere, only laying one fancy aspect on the other - extinction of all human kind, alien DNA, Cigarette Smoking Man, UFO. It just did not work as a whole. Too much, to quickly, too shallow. Disappointment.

Have no idea why they would end it like this when there was never supposed to be more than 6 episodes. Although Duchovny has expressed interest in another movie recently. Still; a cliffhanger was a lame way to end things. Hopefully there actually is more.

Hmm, I thought Mulder would have already been protected from this pandemic, based on him being exposed to the alien virus and CSM saying Mulder was immune to the coming viral apocalypse in The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati? Apparently not....
Talk about a cliffhanger. I had to wait until the end of the season to continue the main mythology story line then they leave us hanging like this... I can only hope there's an 11th season.

They shook up the (already unstable) mythology of the entire series in this one episode with the creation of the Spartan virus. I'm not sure if I liked how this went or not.
Now this should have been a two part finale.
Hated the finale in S9, it was among the worst episodes of all X-Files and was dragged out to be two episodes.
Now we actually have a lot happening, too much for a single episode, and they don't do a two part finale and even worse, end on a cliffhanger.
That must mean, either they plan on doing another movie and left things open, they hope for another mini season OR they willingly accept that there is no continuation for this and f*ck over all fans.
But even if they plan to make more - which they do - the old issue of schedule problems with our main heroes comes into play that makes this all unlikely / unclear.
Either way, I liked this mini-season a lot and since the negative ones are always more vocal than the content ones, I have a feeling too many people were expecting too much from this and are simply disappointed that their expectations weren't met and blame everyone/everything else. Let's hope for another continuation anyway. In a few years less.

I do like the idea of a global contagion, but i don't exactly know what is going on. What spartan virus? What exactly is happening?
So... The original plan was... The syndicate was helping the aliens spread the virus through bees. But i guess not... In this episode they actually did something in the smallpox vaccine decades ago... And this is supposed to do something... But it's killing people now... So is this supposed to be the alien virus? The syndicate did this through the smallpox vaccine? Decades ago? And it's activating now? Or was it a recent vaccine? How is it activated? Why now? So most of the world is going to die or be transformed into aliens? Scully has a vaccine already? How long will it take to spread across the world?
I don't know and i don't care much anymore. It's all too convoluted...

I started season 1 in lockdown I’ve loved the journey so far and this mini series was really good and included a couple of funny episodes.
Off to start season 11 now!
More alien mythology mush. This ends on a cliffhanger. I have Season 11 on Blu-ray sitting in front of me, but I'm not compelled to rush to watch it and see what happens. This is probably because the mythology episodes are complete junk. I'll take the uneveness but opportunity for greatness that are the monster-of-the-week episodes over the frustrating and convoluted mythology entries every time.

This agent Einstein is really tiresome. She's too hyperactive... It was ok that she looked hysterical on her part on 6 feet under. It was adequate. But now?

What the hell is even going on. This endgame makes little sense to me. Also great to see that not only Scully is behaving selfishly in the end but the Aliens too ~~.
We have to get more after this. I'm placing an order for 10 more seasons.

First 2 episodes were good but after that they went downhill fast.
Last episode was total crap.
What boring crap. Mulder's trip was ridiculous, but so was the whole, thin plot.
I love this show, and I think I love the characters in this re-boot more now, then in the original when they were younger. However I absolutely HATED this ending! I get wanting a cliffhanger, but this is more than that, this felt like someone turned off the TV in the middle of my show. I want more! C'MON GUYS GIVE US AT LEAST A FEW EPISODES A YEAR!
