So I take it I have to watch the movie before I start this season.
If possible, watch the movie fight the future before watching season 6
hmm not quite the season premier I'd expected. I feel like this should've been part of season 5, but oh wells. I wonder if they would continue with the case of this psychic kid.
Something i never realized that was cleared up in the beginning of this episode. The bees.
This episode made me realize about the aliens plan to spread the gestation black oil to everyone through the bees, rather than the fake black oil, and the illuminati still plans to go along with this? Because we know in the movie they found out about the gestation. But they would have tested the bee sting though with the black oil. Maybe the gestation black oil would be introduced by the aliens at a later date in an instant? No that doesn't make sense. This is starting to not make sense again.
Why didn't Scully get more security for Gibson, knowing how important he is to the illuminati and he had already been abducted before? Why did she even leave his side?
What the hell is this about that we're all part extra-terrestrial?
Alright, the mythology has half lost me again now. One more bad slip up like this and i'm checking out of the mythology.
I'm annoyed and confused. I'm annoyed at the continual losses suffered by Mulder and Scully and how they keep get setting back. There's just more lies and conspiracies built on top of each other. They find out some truths but they may be lies and then there's more questions and more different truths and only expose a little. It's just so annoying and drags everything out. It's annoying they brought back gibson but his head is injured but that doesn't really matter in this episode, it's just a reason to get him to the hospital to be abducted again. Spender and Diana are annoying mainly because they are in the place Mulder and Sculy should be, and it's annoying they are not on the x files. It's annoying how Mulder can supposedly recover a large percentage of the x files even though they were burned to a crisp. I'm annoyed Gibson can supposedly communicate with the alien, even though he can only read minds, and the alien is fine with Gibson being with it apparently, even though it showed murderous rage to everyone else.
I'm wore out on the annoyances, absurdity, convolution and confusion of the mythos, but there's been enough good parts and enough sense that i haven't checked out yet.
Nice Simpsons homage at the nuclear power station :)
More Gibson Praise and the possibility that he is proof that all humans have an alien remnant in their DNA. Scully is annoying in this and finally Praise reads her thoughts and tells her (and us) that Scully knows the aliens exist, regardless of her need for the science to verify everything she's been through.
I liked the ending where Gibson watches an alien transform into a "grey" alien and the opening is a good teaser, but this is a pretty dull season opener. Mulder and Scully are removed from the X-Files...again. Director Kersh is introduced and he is a total jerk.
Secondary characters in this episode: CSM, Gibson Praise, Diana, Spender, Kersh, Syndicate

Ok, now after watching the movie this episode makes a lot more sense.
