One of the best pilots i've ever seen
Woah. To reiterate what everybody else has already said: what an incredible pilot episode. This is storytelling at its best.
Shit, that was an amazing episode and although I should have probably seen that ending coming, I did not at all. Very well done, there's not a lot of shows that have me crying over the very first episode.
Very rarely that I have a show that brings tears to my eyes, let alone on the first episode Excited to watch more.
that series premiere of good surprises, everything fell into place and I was open-mouthed, not expected.
A great dramedy! I really like how the pilot was built up and I didn't see that twist in the end coming! Superb!
Not bad but as said in Slate review "it is so sure it is special, so convinced it has something to say that it sullies its basic achievements with self-satisfaction."

This pilot achieves something most pilots don't: It's very good.
The only problem is that now I'm afraid to keep watching out of fear that it might not do this incredible pilot justice.

Clever. It never crossed my mind until the end that the story lines were being told in different eras. I always wonder how characters in shows like this are linked to each other, and I liked how the creators blended them together.
it might be that i'm still emotional after watching the last episode of the third season of gilmore girls but i'm tearing up at the end of this episode,,, i think i'm going to like this
Very rarely do I get surprised and pleased with plot twists nowadays and This Is Us is one of those rare times! The pilot got me hooked almost immediately. Despite it being a drama, it just makes you feel good. Almost like you're apart of the family. Beautiful story telling and acting all throughout. I'm just scared now that I'll be too connected to a character and to find out that character dies. Curse you, Game of Thrones.

Loved the pilot, it doesn't happen a lot that i love a show from the start and that it had me fooled. I did not see this one coming. Can't wait to see how this show will go.
