Deja storyline was probably my least favourite aspect of this season. Wasn’t looking quite forward for an episode around her either.

I should have known better that This Is Us would eventually change the whole game for me and this episode just made that click.

Aside from Deja’s heartfelt and heartbreaking story, the editing is a very strong suit. I have a keen interest in parallels, story-wise, so it’s quite easy to feel for this girl and her family when there’s already an established connection and strong empathy with the Pearsons and William.

Moreover, it goes without saying that Deja’s story from her point of view, rather than Randall and Beth’s, presents a wider and intriguing perspective.

Well done!

Wasn’t too happy to see it was a Deja centric episode but I’ve quite enjoyed it.

Best episode of the season; Deja's story was very insightful and creatively framed by moments with the Pearsons. Every time I think I'm ready to bail on this show, it reels me right back in.
