I loved the way this episode was done, how sneaky it was to put Nicky saying :
"I wonder if everything would make more sense if you looked at things in reverse. Like if you started at the end, and moved backward and tried to figure out how you got there."
And that was exactly how the episode was delivered.
Kudos.
This series doesn't cease to surprise me.
a masterpiece. i loved so much about this episode. reverse storytelling delivered grandiously.
The episode reached emotional peak when Jack’s war friend (who lost the leg and who is the one Kevin is calling in the previous episode I guess) grabs Jack’s face and tell him to breath. This flash forward of Jack doing it to Randall was perfect.
Also loved the multiple layer of flashback and the ending. Lucky day, right?!
A flashback within a flashback. Flashback-ception.
Not a fan of rushing through decades of Jack and Nick in 40 minutes. Would've preferred if this was done throughout the season. This is the first time I watch an episode of this series and feel absolutely nothing.
normally love This is Us and Jack is my favorite but for some reason i couldn't get into this episode.

Would he still have his long flicky hair in Vietnam though? Didn't they all get a high n tight?
