Probably the best of the series so far. Warming into the story quite well.
The trio meet Ian Flenning the creator of James Bond who is a undercover agent in Germany. Which leads to some funny scenes. Like him having a thing for Lucy where he says "Never Say Never" which leads Wyatt to throw in "Again!".
Never Say Never Again is of course the title of a Bond movie. So I found that pretty funny.
Loved seeing Sean Maguire guest starring... and they all fangirling over Ian Flemming was awesome :D
Poor Rufus! He really is in a difficult spot.
It's great that Lucy finally has a personal purpose.
Loved the Bond angle. Nice episode. :)
Finally a great episode in the series so far
So in episode 1 we have a major change in our character life (Amy the sister was never born) even though their interaction with the past was... Minimum. But than.. We get 3 more episodes where Wyatt is shooting everybody left or right so with major implications to the present... Yet nothing really major changed for our characters... Lol...
Funny about James Bond movies

Sure, you can nitpick about the British agent with a noticeable accent or an American with a clear slurring of German words not being able to pass as Germans, or otherwise be "undercover" in Nazi-Germany.
Just as you could say the whole plot is nonsense (because it is) and question how far they can go with the jokes about how Rufus is pretty much screwed anywhere in the past because of his skin color.
(They have yet to do one episode where those roles are reversed ;)
But overall I have to say kudos for the accuracy in speaking proper, even grammatically correct German!
Seems like some native Germans were on set, too. You can't really improve a lot from here.
I like to see how - especially in US TV - my native language is used or portrayed.
Most shows usually don't care at all about accuracy, or the actors couldn't try less (i.e. on Grimm, except the character Monroe).
But Timeless did it almost perfect. I'm really surprised in a positive way about that.
