The new head of the forestry department, Francesco Neri, arrives in San Candido and a young ethologist, Emma, who has come to take care of a project on the reintegration of wolves. Vincenzo and Eva are now a couple, she tries hard to carry on the bed and breakfast project, but the arrival of a star in San Candido, who has come there specifically for Eva, will change the cards on the table. The police and foresters are alerted by the disappearance of two girls, one of whom is found tied up in a field and wearing a krampus mask on her face.
While a young woman who has come on holiday to San Candido is found dying, Francesco tries to reprimand his wife Livia for the danger of the master. Vincenzo, on the other hand, meets Cristina, Huber's sister, who has come to San Candido for the final preparations for her wedding.
Francesco is taken hostage by three drug traffickers who find themselves in the high mountains after a crash landing. Things get even more complicated when Emma is also involved. Meanwhile, Vincenzo is grappling with Cristina's desire for revenge against Hans and has to deal with the suspicion that Eva is cheating on him with Fedez.
At the center of the police investigation is the new head of the forestry department: Francesco is accused of assaulting a woman found dying. Even Emma has some doubts about his innocence. Vincenzo, in order not to lose Eva, is intent on blowing up his contract with Fedez and Cristina will lend herself to give him a hand.
A quiet doctor from San Candido is kidnapped suddenly, Francesco understands that the kidnapper is not a beginner, but seems to operate with the technique of an experienced soldier. Meanwhile, his mother arrives in San Candido to see clearly about his relationship with Eva, to whom he will give a lot of trouble.
During the night of the feast of the Sacred Heart, a well-known sculptor from San Candido is found dead in his house set on fire, his stolen works. Livia, an expert in art history, is involved by Francesco in the investigation, and this leads the two to get closer momentarily. Vincenzo is invited to the party for the start of filming by Fedez, but of course he can't go with Eva.
A nature photographer from San Candido is found dying, perhaps attacked by a tiger that is still on the loose in the woods. When Livia falls ill and refuses to be treated in the hospital, Francesco's concern for her health grows. Eva has to shoot a nude scene with Fedez, but she can't find the courage to tell Vincenzo.
A young base jumper crashes during a flight, in a dynamic that does not seem to be that of a simple fatal accident. Emma and Francesco reconnect to heal Zoe's sick horse. Vincenzo and Eva argue furiously, after the commissioner finds out that the model has to leave for Los Angeles for two weeks, so Huber tries in every way to make them reconcile.
When Eleonora's body emerges from the lake, the investigation will begin to find out who the killer is. Francesco is struggling with Zoe's grief and tries to comfort her with the help of Emma, who is also quite upset by this event. Silvia's little son arrives in San Candido and surprises Vincenzo: he is convinced that he is her father!
As a young friend of Huber's daughter falls from the ruins of a castle in what appears to be an accident, a young woman, possibly run over by a hit-and-run, is found dying. What's going on?
A yoghurt and jam maker with serious family problems is killed by a shotgun shot fired in the woods. Emma, still recovering, makes a difficult decision about her future, leaving Francesco completely in the dark.
Near San Rocco, drunken hunter Renzo finds a body, but the police only find the dead man's cool place. Emma stumbles upon the victim's shoes while watching the wolves, taking on the murder of a strange boy. However, appearances are deceiving. Cristina panics that she will be alone forever, so she starts planning a feverish date. However, he is not only looking for a partner for himself, but also for Vincenzo, who has no way of getting out of his embarrassment.
Cristina and Vincenzo wake up side by side in Huber's bed after a night of fun. None of them remember what happened or didn't happen between them. Claudio, who is alone in his job of saving his seriously ill mother with part of his liver, is found dead in the woods the day before the transplant. Francesco finds bike tracks at the scene. Emma is visited by her old lover and asks him to go with her to America.
Martino's father, who hasn't been seen in 20 years, unexpectedly appears on the scene, which doesn't just stir up the family's standing water. The famous food blogger arrives at Cristina's village inn, who has not yet been identified, but the girl has a hint as to who it might be. Emma takes a job in Rome, and Livia flees to Francesco after a confrontation with Master. Yevgeny is offered a job in Ukraine, and he would gladly go back if Natasha and his son were with him.
The assistant finds her fainting in a lab where she has been bitten by a runaway coral snake. Was it an accident? Emma returns, only to witness that Livia has left the community and wants to start a new life with her husband, Francesco. Master searches for a disappointed Emma. Eva also visits home from Los Angeles because she wants to sell the B&B, but Cristina successfully discourages the buyers. Huber wins the local Elvis lookalike contest.
In the cemetery, they find a dead girl who turns out to have worked as a waiter for the Hofers. According to the family, the girl stole a diamond bracelet and was probably killed by the guardian. Every woman in the village is preparing for the basketball feast. Emma is saddened to learn that Francesco has reunited with his wife and takes a desperate step to force her to confess. Tommaso doesn't approve of Natasha's relationship with Yevgeny, who is unexpectedly approached by old acquaintances from the past. Both the Hofer family and Anna are in danger because of them.
Roccia takes money out of the vending machine, a young man snatches it from his hand, he follows, but the man pulls a pistol and shoots the forester in the chest. Cristina and Eva's fight for Vincenzo and the boarding house continues, and eventually Eva fires Cristina, who plots revenge. Livia becomes more and more attached to Francesco. Vincenzo is working hard to capture the assassin, the threads lead to Anna Hofer.
Tommaso is accused of Stephen's murder, all evidence is against him. If found guilty by the court, he could face up to 20 years in prison. Francesco does his best to find out the truth, knowing that the Master behind the murder is not Tommaso. Livia is desperate to persuade Francesco to ask for her transfer. A sad Emma grows closer and closer to Master. Cristina goes out of her way to seduce Vincenzo and evade Eva, so she doesn't pick and choose her tools.
