Norsemen 2016

Wow, that show is surprisingly refreshing and funny!
English audio btw, I thought it was something "nordic" before I started watching ;)
Can highly recommend it, found myself laughing out loud quite often

Haha, what an amazing concept. When I first heard of the show I thought it would be an utter disaster but my god was I wrong. It's amazing. The dry humor works fantastically.

This show took me a couple of episodes to get into season 1 but then I was hooked and really enjoyed the characters and story that play off modern concepts of how vikings are represented. I was wondering how a 3rd season would go as the story didn't leave it very open especially with the loss of a couple of characters. So it makes sense that season 3 takes place before seasons 1 and 2. I would recommend new comers to the series to watch season 3 before seasons 1 and 2. Watching them in order works but it means that you already know where some of the storylines are heading.

Be warned that while the actors play the characters with conviction there is a lot of silliness and as was likely common in the time period, quite a few crass jokes. Those jokes are certainly not the basis of the show though, the characters each develop and I found that my favourites would shift somewhat throughout the story - although Froya was ultimately my favourite in the end.

Just watched season 3 and it's still a great show.

It's hilarious. If you're a fan of Vikings on the History Channel, then you need to watch this. I had tears in a few episodes from laughing so hard and that doesn't happen often with TV shows.

Extremely boring, stupid and not funny at all. Cringe, cringe, cringe.

I loved every single episode, I hope most sincerely it will return some day.

Viking themed dark-humor parody that doesn't take itself too seriously.

I watched half of the episode a pretty long while ago, and while it's only 2 seasons of 6 half-length episodes, it just isn't for me.
I didn't think it was funny. It was cringy, bad, awful. Better watch Full House instead, if you want laughs! :)

I hoped this comedy series would look humorous on Viking culture and maybe make a statement about the American series "The Vikings" in the process but no. A great cast of Norwegian actors and actresses but with the exception of Henrik Mestad as the king there is not enough depth in the characters. The first episode is okay introduction, but it all falls apart later with predictable jokes and bodily fluids gags. There seem to be a punchline that I miss and I find this mostly to be a rude sitcom with a better-than-usual budget. Slimy Jon Øigarden is the best reason in season 2 to keep follow the show as the rest of the group never really grow on me.
