And then it was CANCELLED by the end of season 1 with only 10 episodes. I've come to believe that the TV industry has become spoiled by the low cost, low budget, low quality invention of Reality Shows. It seems that any new show that comes out, if it doesn't kill the ratings the first season and in some cases I've seen the first 3 episodes, the TV Executives kill it. This show had some real potential and could have gone in so many directs, hell the whole first season was like a roller coaster ride of suspense and discovery and twists at every turn. I love a show that when you start to think you know what's going on, something else happens that makes you say, "NO Fing Way"! So sad that the TV industry has forgotten what commitment, loyalty and belief to a show is and that it may take some word-of-mouth and the like to gain larger audiences but if you kill it early, you'll never know. I guess it really is all about the money but then again maybe the Internet and online programming like Netflix (and others) will start to change all that with better shows.
Without spoilers: Great show until episode 5-6. Then it starts to suck.
I digged the first 5-6 episodes. It was kinda switching between genres. Mystery to Survival, to SciFi. This was a really cool concept. Unfortunately this couldn't go on forever. So the show started to get worse and predictable. Then they started to kill off the older actor generation and the show started to focus on the younger generation problems. Kinda like Under The Dome.
SPOILER ALERT...It's a pitty that a show with such a potential ends like that.I mean look at the first episodes it's great.i feel the mystery i sympatyhize the characters but god what the hell with this ending??It's like the writers does not even care to explain what's going on.There is a 3 year gap that the only thing we know is that Pincher is worshiped by class one which is now on charge.Are you serious?So we have to take for granted that 15 tennagers have taken control over all the adults including the armed and armored soldiers?It gives me the feeling that it is not complete.Moreover how is ti possible to have unlimited resourses of food?Where do they find it??We see every fridge full of food...the facilities inside the mountain has also so many food.If we assume they gathered it from the beggining how do they sustain it throughout the years?For God shake there is beer..beer...200 years after life seized to exist but beer has survived...Another issue is the fence...This is actually a ridiculus fence...So Pincher thought ''why not to build a wall full of electricity but if there is a blackout we are done''...My little sister could climd that wall without electricity let alone these predators..Anyway..Matt Dillon is awesome and perfect for the role...The plot is nice and fun to follow..In conclusion i think the show is good but not enough for more than 4/10
Season one was actually pretty good, Matt Dillon, Toby Jones and Terrence Howard's were excellent, and it looked that the story was actually going somewhere... but than season two happened, and that makes it very clear why the show was cancelled..... My guess is that the writers and the director didn't have a clue what to do next, and a few new reasonably big names like Djimon Hounsau couldn't save this sinking ship....
The first season was okay. Won't keep watching though.
The first season was a passagem, but the second was simply awful! The book has nothing to do with the show, and the show did all wrong turns .
Do not watch this show buy or borrow the book from a public library, they even have it on audio so you can drive listening to it.
Should have stayed cancelled after season 1!!! Season 2 is honestly boring and insufferable... but the effects are alright...

A new show that is going to put you on the edge of your seat. It's by the M Night Shyamalan team but don't think of it as a bad thing & Don't let that put you off, Wayward Pines Has a Vintage Shyamalan Feel.
Season 1: Quite interesting premise. Matt Dillon as a key character. Yeah, it was OK and watchable.
Season 2: Why on earth did I waste my time. Wow. Very thin story. Not a lot of sense made throughout. Some very strange ideologies. Finished off with a poor ending. If I had the opportunity again I wouldn’t bother.
Season 1 was sort of OK, more of a mash-up of the books, with the plot sequence of events being substantially rearranged. Season 2 seems to be more 'inspired-by' the original story than 'based-on'. Reminds me of what was done with Humans compared to the original Real Humans (Äkta människor) , which by the final episode had absolutely nothing in common with the original story. Not a huge deal, authors are in it to make money, and having their stories purchased to be made into video is the ultimate jackpot -- selling the rights to have their original work modified however the purchaser wants is part and parcel to the process. Personally, I'm glad to have been able to read and watch the originals. If you enjoyed season 1, skip season 2 and read the Wayward Pines trilogy :-)
FOX has renewed the show for a second season, in summer 2016!
ABSOLUTELY GREAT SERIES! ITS LIKE A ROLLER COASTER OF SUSPENSE. I FIND MYSELF ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE NEXT EPISODE EVERY WEEK, THEY ALWAYS LEAVE U W/SUCH DRAMATIC ENDINGS, ALWAYS WANTING MORE! ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS LATELY.
Don't get too hung up on some of the poor reviews u see. Be prepared the first few episodes can sometimes have a slow start, once u r all caught up w/the characters & what is going on, then the show really picks up w/so many twists & turns, & unexpected things, the suspense is amazing!
Just realize going in, THIS IS A SCI-FI SERIES, u cannot get hung up on holding the writers accountable to explaining every little detail, like how come they have beer, where did it come from, that detail is unimportant to the storyline, it's not going to be explained. Just move past that, remember IT'S A SHOW- NOT REALITY & ur not going to see flawless scripts, that explain every detail, ur meant to sometimes use ur imagination & not overthink every detail. There's not enough time to get into that level of detail. No worries though as ALL THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS R ANSWERED.
If ur a critic, who needs every single detail explained thoroughly, w/out gaps or things left unexplained, then it may not be for u.
However, if u like suspense, & shows that keep u on the edge of ur seat, that r full of surprises that u NEVER see coming, then U WILL LOVE THIS SHOW!
This show just gets better & better! I enjoyed Season 1 quite a bit. When Season 2 started, I realized many of the characters I really grew to love, such as Terrance Howard, or Matt Dillion were gone, I was prepared for the show to start to kind of suck. But then a whole new cast was introduced, w/main characters like Jason Patric, it was EVEN BETTER than the 1st season. I loved the dramtic ending especially w/Jason & Kerry, talk about something u NEVER SAW COMING! Also, the way they left things, showing u that last frame w/the Abbie holding a baby, so many possibilities for Season 3! SUPER EXCITED!!!
Incredibly great. It is one of the best tv shows of our days. I really enjoyed it and I am happy that they decided to extend the story to more seasons. I am looking forward for the third season.

Was a very solid show. That is until the weak ending. A cliffhanger was unnecessary and unfaithful to book.
The story is wonderful ! But the story teller is not good.

Very similar feeling I got watching TWIN PEEKS... Gonna watch ep 2 tonight.
Ok so season one was awesome, but once season two came out, they completely ruined the show. I loved season one, but unfortunately gave up on the show half way through season two.
This is a good sci-fi show that takes a different point of view on a very old science-fiction premise.I'm still half-way through Season 1, and it's managing to keep my attention. Nurse Pam is my favourite character so far.

Season one was pretty good: an interesting and original riff on the "Town With a Mysterious Secret" trope. Although I feel they tipped their hand too soon, with the Big Reveal mid-season. However, season two was really weak, without the central mystery to support the narrative, it just became a Walking Dead clone.

I have love hate relationship with this show. I found season one better than season two. It's definitely worth a watch. I sort of lost interest after the first half of season two. I might go back and watch it for good measure.
By the way, Terrence Howard played a strange and gripping Sheriff Pope.

Well started watching the first season...,first two episodes were not that interesting,got bit bored,but the show really picked up after that..it gets better and better,good show..they say season two kinda suc**s,yet to see it.but right now im totally into it.
After three ep. I stopped to see it! BUT I WAS WRONG! TRUST ME U HAVE TO SEE IT! IT'S A REALLY VERY STRANGE STORY!!!
The trailers, the description and intro didn't inspire me, but with a sci-fi rating well above average thought it mud be worth a look.
I was not disappointed - with Shymallan's directorial style, the remote village in BC really comes alive like a genuine too-perfect township (a là Stepford Wives), and though it was a challenge to suspend my disbelief with the plot holes and gaping technical conceptual flaws, the quirky (Twin Peaks, Lost) plot twists kept things interesting and by the middle of the season had me hooked. The edge of seat script writing made the show really enjoyable, and I really looking forward to the second season now in production.

Best series of the year
It is a show that's well put together and it definitely has its moments. A show like this would have been unbelievable about 10 years ago, unfortunately you might have seen most/all of its ideas somewhere else before. If you don't expect something completely you'll have a good time.

My first thought was Person Unknown and I like this :)
The ad in my phone popped like 500 times in the last month, so I said I'd give it a shot, good thing I started late, binge watched the first 6 chapters, saw the name M. Night Shyamlamnsnfn w3hatever, "that explains the slow start" but by chapter 4 it picked up the pace a bit and now I'm sold, thign begin to look promising, lets see where this leads!
I've actually watched the first 5 episodes because of my website....great show. Hope it turns out to be just as good for the second half.
