....okay well this was weird.
Awful. Makes me think of the status quo now where top (or you know 95%+ of them) congress people can feign interest in social justice like when some of them wore African clothing and did poses...while those same people continued making millions upon millions without a care for the normal every day citizen.
This film is set in a dystopia that most characters don't appear to even recognize as being as dystopian as it is. Don't worry, there's a cute "progressive" story wedged in.
Futuristic gay love story with happy ending!Yeah
That was such an adorable love story!! I'm so here for it!
Dylan O'Brien exudes so much situational/accidental bi energy!
So this was wholesome (and hilarious)

I think this is the first time I've seen a science fiction anthology have this light-hearted and optimistic a slant to its satire. My impulse is to throw some shade at this first episode feeling inconsequential as a result, but you know what? No. I'm just going to appreciate this thoroughly nice little story about two people finding and choosing each other. Just because every other Future Shock style story is relentlessly bleak and/or cynical, it doesn't mean Weird City has to be.
