He is joined by student Katie Gates as he demonstrates how to turn a small box with a threaded lid on a mini-lathe. This style of box, which is both beautiful and practical, is created with multiple woodworking and fine measuring tools. They begin by turning the square blank into a round shape and cutting tenons in both ends.
