The scene with the bikers at the end saved this episode for me. I was starting to get bored by the plot and characters since not much interesting was happening. The bikers scene didn't really add to the story but it gave some entertainment value and reminded me of how scary John can be. That whole sequence was a good middle ground between dramatic and melodramatic, which fits the tone of this season so far. These first four episodes have honestly felt like an extended pilot to the season and like they dragged out one or two episodes of content across four. I enjoy the slow burn feel as long as the story is compelling but right now it's just not that interesting or new. I'm still enjoying this season and think it's pretty good, it just hasn't taken the step up to being great yet. Also, they're obviously trying to make Beth sympathetic all of a sudden but I haven't forgotten how rotten she is.

Yellowstone Ranch vs Sons of Anarchy. No contest.

Rip is the best character. Most of the episode was non-stop lovey dovey stuff. So the bad-ass ending made up for that.

Dealing with the bikers...now that’s bad ass.
