I enjoyed watching this anime. The universe, the plot are interesting and the characters are likeable. Some "sexual" comments bothered me, especially since they don't add much to the story. They could have been handled differently.

The Anime ends in the same way as the Manga. The story stops at the end of a major arc. If you want to know what happens next, you'll have to read the Light Novel. Unfortunately, it's not licensed in all countries. On the other hand, there is a sequel to the original story called "The Dawn of the Witch/Mahoutsukai Reimeiki", which is itself based on a finished Manga and a Light Novel still in progress... What a mess!

Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho had a great start. In the beginning it gave me Spice and Wolf vibes, minus the economics. Unfortunately, there is a huge drop in quality approaching the end, caused by bad writing and frequent plot holes. Regardless, I still found myself enjoying the show because it's still watchable and since the action is cool.

I watched this series after watching The Dawn of the Witch (https://trakt.tv/shows/the-dawn-of-the-witch) and it was far better than than the later both in terms of story and characters. Ending theme was also very soothing which adds an extra charm to every episode.
Overall I'll definitely recommend this one but not the sequel.
