I must preface this comment by saying that I knew nothing about James Ellroy before watching the first episode. I saw this series listed on Discovery + and decided to check it out. James' narration is somewhat odd and stilted. The way he refers to his own mother, murdered when he was only 10 years old, is having had "hated and lusted after her". Still, what is presented is interesting.
Overall, not the best, but I laughed out loud at "To the Batmobile!"
Can Megan sound any more uninterested in what she's talking about? I'm more enthusiastic about my cats than she is about these subjects.
Why does Travel Channel keep making over the top fake paranormal shows like this? Why do I keep watching them?
Jack has never heard of Virginia City, NV or the Washoe Club?!?!
I swear that I remember another paranormal team being at Ashmore Estates that brought in cadaver dogs. They had the exact same results as this episode - they all went to the tree. It's been a few years and I believe it was with the previous owner.
In every episode Gail Porter is easily afraid of something and runs.
This episode was absolutely freaking brilliant. I never saw that twist coming and the series had me perplexed the entirely too short run.
I’m really surprised how much I enjoy this show. I binged watch five episodes in one day and I don’t usually do that.
The final season and only thirteen episodes and they put out this?
If that was the series finale, as I believe it is, I thought it was a good way to wrap up the series.
I knew there was something off with that guy!!
Anyone else find it funny that they treat a flight from California to China like it takes just two hours?
The CGI with the Kangaroo and Cougar was laughable.
I don’t know how Shangela kept her cool and worked with her Drag Daughter. He was kind of an ass, to put it mildly.
“David is an architect.”
“Oh, really? I’m a Sagittarius.”
Actually filmed in 2015 as a documentary, this seems to be a precursor to what "Destination Fear" became.
This is merely a compilation episode
Another two-hour episode featuring previously aired footage.
Kesha tries to be a paranormal investigator but fails miserably.
Ugh. Scott Grimes made me cry.
This was a recap/compilation episode. Nothing new.
I thought that "Sons" was an excellent episode. The stuff with Asher and his parents was great. Noah Galvin was fantastic as he battled his emotions. I was glad that Shaun and Lea finally got married. But the end? I knew something was happening, but I thought it would involve Glassman. Then, as Dr. Lim left to go get more glasses, I just knew what was going to happen. I'm left to wonder if either of them will survive.
I've ended up liking Reznick and Park, and I never thought I'd end up liking Reznick.
This episode made me ugly cry several times throughout.
I loved seeing Yusuf Gatewood in this episode. I've missed him since "The Originals" ended.
I thought this episode was hilarious, although I wondered if there was a way for the doctors to figure out why everyone was "sick" a lot earlier.
The least impressive of the FBI franchise thus far.
I actually enjoyed this episode more than most of the season.
Down with Salen, down with Salen! I prefer the actress in her role in United States of Al over her portrayal of Salen on The Good Doctor.
While I liked the premise, the execution was lacking because of the acting. It was worse than a middle school drama club.
Corny, but kind of cute. If you were ever a fan of the groups included in the show there’s a good chance you’d enjoy it, even if for nostalgia purposes alone.
