What a sad sack of a film. If you keep having to CGI Harrisons Ford's face onto all the stuntmen that can actually participate in the scene then that's a good sign you probably shouldn't have bothered. The opening with a de-aged Indy at the end of the war is legit fun but is full of shonky CGI (there's a bit where a totally animated Indy running across a train in silloette that I honestly can't believe made it's way into the final cut) then it's downhill fast and never lets up. I'd take Shia as a companion over the irritant that is Phoebe Bridge unlike Toby Jones who steals every scene he's in a good way.
Oh and people that moaned about aliens finale in Indy 4? Well Indy 5 is like hold my beer I can top that ending in a tardis.
The projector packed in the cinema on the last ten minutes and it was more amusing than anything that happened the film. The projector was sorted and the madness wrapped up.
I honestly preferred Kingdom of Crystal Skull. At least it had Spielberg magic.
The whole ordeal was like a make-a-wish kid was given full control.
The music never fucking stops! and it wasn't good music, it was just looped in the middle. (I wasn't at home viewing It on my system, but I could barely hear any dialogue)
It has sweeping camera shots trying to be 'Buffy Once more with feeling" but they do nothing, they lead to nothing.
Again the whole look of the episode is equal to some cute little furry alien tiddlyweens programme on cbeebies.
It all felt like a charity special short that wasn't short.
then another character talks to the pissing camera. (the character who is moaning about the box at the beginning, suddenly knows all)
I wonder if this is a massive fuck up by the BBC akin to The Only fools and horses one from the late 90s.
Holy fuck that was so bad, don't get me wrong Ncuti Gatwa is a great actor but he's terrible Doctor Who, didn't feel the magic that previous actors had. Ruby is so irritating and can't bare her on screen. I completely lost hope that this series is gonna be good again. Maybe I will come back to Doctor Who when they change the actor again, if this series will last this long
Handy we can always keep DT on call if it doesn't work. However the new doctor got off on a good start. Also loved NPH in it he's always amazing. It should've lasted longer haha. Can't wait for the next one
Wait what. All the officers wearing a helmet while the Sikh officer is wearing a turban with no helmet. Is his turban bullet proof or something? Because I thought the whole point of the helmet is to protect the head.
It was simply great, a great send out episode, you got a worthy episode of you.
I didn't love the writing of your run, but I'm sure as hell I'm going to miss you Jodie.
Bye Jodie, thanks for everything. You didn't deserved all the hate.
This is possibly (probably) an unpopular opinion, but I found it to be a decent episode with ebbs and flows of the usual auspicious and melancholic feelings that always come as we move closer to another regeneration. The acting is fine, story is clear, it's a lovely reintroduction of a very old Doctor Who villain, costumes are alright, set looks good... might have focused more on the regular cast and given a bit less screen time to the guests, nothing is ever flawless, but this episode fits quite nicely in the Whoniverse.
7.5/10
NOTE FOR MYSELF SO I REMEMBER SOMEDAY, ONLY REPRESENTS MY OPINION/THOUGHTS FOR MYSELF NOT A “REAL REVIEW“, SO YOU PROBABLY WONT AGREE WITH IT
(also its not my 1st language)
6.5
Im not sure why but I didnt like it that much, seeing all those high ratings and comments I expected better. Don't get me wrong its good but its not that exceptionally good or special. Did not fascinate me, mostly felt surprised and disgusted, or both. (I heard about it being traumatising but it still surprised me how graphic it was)
-expected the faun to be the villain, the mother said they can't be trusted and then he gave her that mandrake, and all I ever heard/saw about them is driving people insane when left under the bed
-her eating the grapes made me really angry, but then I remembered they prob didnt have that much food and so I think it was a bigger temptation, but still, very stupid and unneccesary (especially for that short amount of time she was in there)
this man gets stabbed in the chest twice, poisoned, then dies via gunshot to the cheek? we love to see it.
also when this girl eats the grapes and the fairies die, I stopped rooting for her lol
This would have been a lot better if they had done some more world building, showing how this enterprise came to be and explore other possibilites of that body possessing machine. The ending also felt rushed.
Of course they kill off Blink but leave the annoying screaming Mutant alive and Jace Turner.
This season has been really weak. Blink was one of the few good parts of it but of course she gets killed off. Marcos...it's like the writers somehow don't know what to do with him? Jace gets his big story arc, which is making it really hard to enjoy watching. And boy, let's not even start with the Struckers smh.
Killing off Blink was a stupid idea.
What could further the story? Oh yeah, killing off the best character.
Started off brilliantly, but they had about 7 episodes' worth of story stretched out into 13 episodes.
Too much filler. It's programming like this (taking a great concept, then diluting it by creating endless open-ended stories and contrived cliffhangers) that will cause the eventual demise of television based on comics.
Imagine being a writer for a moment, one people love and praise, but being trapped in a box that the people who love your work create. Imagine in the beginning you thriving in that box, people loving you more and more, but eventually you've explored everything in the box. Now suddenly people drag you down, "why is he telling stories outside the box?" This is why season 6 took 4 years, because none of these episodes were bad, but because 3 of the 5 weren't inside the box all this hate gets written. Time to move on people, something is indeed better than nothing, and the more you complain about the theme, the closer you get to black mirror straight out ending and red mirror taking it's place, because all good writers eventually learn how to silence the haters and write with their heart, not with a gun to their head.
most creepy and disturbing episode of entire saga for now. I don't know why, but unlike many I'm enjoying this season despite the lack of that touch of scifi and dystopian future that characterizes this TV series.
The episode felt a lot like "Black Mirror" again. Nice ending.
Wouldn’t it be easier and safer to put the robots (replicas) on the space mission? Like duh? They do not need life support system, food, and physical activity. Would it be nicer if they actual humans stayed in their homes and spend their time with family?
Somehow, the pilot of story twisted to make us watch 80 minutes episode, almost as long as a movie. Just to tell us that we need to take care of our family and loved ones! The only explanation for this movie plot is that the astronauts were already in a long distance space mission and later on, they have decided to make the replicas for their families.
Wth was that dren? Ugh. So predictable. The ending was written all over the guy's face from the beginning. The scene where the gf dies?? Seriously? That was it?. Sigh...really didn't like this one. Felt like a student film final project. The story and characters needed something more.
Great episode, but it didn't feel like Black Mirror. It's missing the sci-fi element, the dystopian topic, the futuristic technology aspect.
Started out really good, but I lost interest and found it to be a bit boring from the second act onwards until the intense ending.
I wish they stopped with the paranormal and Alien bs... it really makes me want to stop watching...
I do wish they would include only one UFO/supernatural episode each season. These episode types seem to drag on forever.
Unengaging show about unlikable characters. Disgust and boredom were the only emotions this show managed to evoke in me.
This is a MUST WATCH! Don't let the Nazis take over the world using false narratives.
