We all know the track record with converting popular anime to movies has... not been great. So you'll understand when I say how surprised I was that RK: Origins was a quality film. The film makers did a pretty good job of condensing the story into a coherent plot, albeit the pacing is a bit uneven, but not to the point the film was unwatchable.
The casting and cinematography were particularly strong. Fans of the show can easily recognize their favorites and the fight scenes were GORGEOUS thanks in large part to some very solid choreography.
RK: Origins really surprised me. I came cause I'm a fan of the series, but I got a quality film. Definitely going to watch the next two.
