This season gets amazingly stupid at points: characters acting idiotically, some straight out soap opera shit every now and then. There's also zero nuance to the writing, it's rather black and white. That is the point to be fair, to depict the robbers as the good guys but when the colonel is a hypocritical asshole, the chief inspector is a torturer, and turns out to be a complete madwoman, the chief of security of the bank is literally a blood-thirsty psycopath (LITERALLY), I feel like the writers are taking the easy way out on the whole making the robber feel like the heroes.
However, when the actual heist is front and center, and the crazy plans are put into motion, it's amazingly entertaining. Not only that, but some of the character interactions and developments are fun to watch. Not all of them sadly, due to the stupidity I mentioned above.
Whether or not those positives make it worth it to struggle with the flaws, is a matter of personal preference. I enjoyed my time with it, and will be watching the next season, whenever the hell that comes out.
