The Rookie: 3x06 Revelations

They played Larkin Poe's "Holy Ghost Fire" in that bar, and I instantly recognized it! Perfect song for Chen's show time.

Quantum of Solace

This should win the award "fastest cutting ever in a film". Setting your playback speed to 0.5 is advised!
Those action scenes are so rapidly cut that I bet they just used still images someone took on his phone because the main camera wasn't rolling. You can't see shit!!! In the fight scene where Bond (maybe?) was hanging from a cable is so gorram messy that you can simply look away, listen to the crashing, shooting and bursting sounds, and when the final shot was fired, you look back at the screen, see Bond looking in his straight face as if nothing has happened, and you know exactly what happened during the last eight minutes. Seriously, this is horrific editing. Even in calm moments, there are occasional cuts from one person to the other that are so fast that you barely notice it. The story might have been nice and the actual scenery and set design might have been really cool, but you simply can't see them! Particularly poor.

Escape Plan 2: Hades

This was very rubbish indeed.

The Last Legion

Excalibur (Caliburnus), sword of King Arthur, is actually Cæsar's almighty sword and wasn't forged by Merlin? Arthur is the son of Romulus Augustus who was the last imperator of Rome and Uther Pendragon, greatest King of Britain at the same time? The teacher of Romulus is actually Merlin, and he didn't put the sword into the stone, but it was Romulus himself who threw it, and it accidentally went into a rock? Man, that was some crazy crossover in the end.

Memories of the Sword

Martial art at its finest in a story that is incredibly tragic.
Beautiful picture, great costume and amazing set design make this a visually stunning film.
The fights are gripping and well performed, but the long jumps could have been executed better, as the cable suspension often become obvious when actors were swinging rather than falling.
I have no idea why this is so badly rated – probably because most people expect a Hollywood blockbuster.

Kong: Skull Island

The weakest sauce one can watch. This is probably one of the worst ideas you can turn into a film in the 21st century.
Oh, we found the last place on earth human has not touched yet; let's get military there and bomb the shit out of this island; oh, there live giant species never seen before?; kill them all!!; we shot at a monkey who lived in peace for decades, and now he killed my comrade; throw bombs at him already! Pure destruction, pure desolation, pure arrogance. Oh, and why the actual f*ck do they throw in the hollow-earth conspiracy theory without any comment?! Sorry, but I'd rater look at ape faeces for a full day than continue with this "fun entertainment".
Also, I'm very sad to see Jing Tian in a movie like this.

What on earth was this? I have not the slightest idea what I watched there, but that is probably exactly what the writers wanted to achieve. Sadly, I couldn't relate to any of the characters or to anything at all. Not sure if that's also what the writers intended.

Reacher

In the first fight or so, someone sliced Reacher's jacked on the back, and he fixed it with a piece of tape. Somehow, even after changing clothes multiple times per episode, he had to wear the same taped jacked once in a while throughout the entire season just to show viewers that he is not invulnerable. Otherwise, you wouldn't even think about him getting a scratch. They should have called it "Untouchable Colossus vs. Corrupt Village".

Lucifer: 6x02 Buckets of Baggage

Finally, a Jackie Chan reference!

The Tomorrow War

I'm pretty disappointed. This was basically a copy of Edge of Tomorrow with an easier plot stretched to look bigger.

The Orville: 2x11 Lasting Impressions

Probably the most beautiful episode of anything you could ever watch. What a masterpiece of show The Orville has become.

The Blackout

Not sure what to say about this. The acting wasn't the best I've seen and some things were somewhat not fitting the plot or scenery. All those (probably budget related) issues aside, the overall story was good as I was sticking with it for all the six currently aired episodes. So it couldn't have been too bad I guess. Very Russian if you ask me, and a bit controversial on religious aspects. The story itself made a drastic change, which was great, but it was far too close to the end. If the "second part" would have lasted more than just one episode, I would have rated it higher. This is probably the first time that I don't criticise a long-winded plot but would have even preferred a bit of long-windiness (and more content) at its end. Let's see if a second season will come and how that will perform. I would definitely take a look at it.

Criminal Minds: 4x14 Cold Comfort

Too little distancing from clairvoyance. Only Rossi was clearly counteracting and they closed the episode with an ambiguous statement.

The Core

The Thirty Seconds to Mars recording at the end was of such bad quality it ruined the whole movie.

White Collar

This was a monster good show. Art, crime, charme, wine and love. There is no better combination.
