Ahm this movie does not want to talk to me. Good acting and there were nice shock moments but those characters..... they were completely unlikable. I think I should stay away from movies that have a cast of annoying, loudmoth, diverse, phone addicted teenagers.
I am not even gonna go into details.... but such a bad script, bad CGI, bad acting and really a bad and dumb group of millennials. I just couldn't care less. Probably also directed and filmed by stupid teenagers.
I think this movie wants to deliver the message on how easy it is to steal someone's identity. But for me this is more like a documentation on how dumb, vicious and self centererd current influencer gen can be. The worst for me: Absolutely no sympathy for any of the characters whatsoever. But this is the first thing you need to do when making a horror movie, right?! Watch one time and movie to better stuff.
Knock at the cabin? More like snore at the cabin! Nah... the storyline and the decisions made by the characters were kind of blah. So at the end I didn't care enough about any of the characters and what happened to them. Also I found the whole motive for the movie which tries to send a cryptic message to the audience a bit annoying. Can't we just have decent straight forward horror movie with no modern day messages that the director wants to be delivered? Thank you.
A decent indie thriller I must say. Good actors, especially the women. There really isn't much negative to say, so for an indie production at a fairly median budget this is a good thriller drama.
This is a movie from norway I believe. The main actress here wasn't bad or distracting, she was just too bland. As all the other characters in the movie there was no character development which leads to an unrelatable person. A barely solid movie.
The movie has not a good beginning showing the annoying interogation scenes but after that quality rises! Theres one scene around the middle of the movie that was really well made and gave me goosebumps (I think you will know when you watch it). FOr that alone I cant give that movie a lower rating than 7 because I will remember this scene for a very long time. Innovative story, annoying yelling woman at the beginning. Very good for a low budget movie! And something special: This movie is very dialogue driven, only 3 different settings - but worth it!
Unique experience to watch this. I didn't know any Laos movies before watching this one and I have to say the movie has a really nice melancholic touch to it. Its spooky mixed with mystery, I liked it! Its slow burn but I never felt bored, which is a good sign. Also the main actor did a good job.

Most of the time you spend watching the main actress talking with a guy in living room. Movie has some nice turn, story is not bad. But it really has the B Movie vibe and you must be interested in the life of a vlogger ;)
Nah, fail for me. The main character Mike a vlogger is pretty annoying. He's obnoxious vlogger persona which is all about getting more viewers is painful to watch. I couldn't care about him and thats always a bad thing in a movie. Watch the Cecil documentation on Netflix if you want a better movie about that hotel.
Nice entertainment, solid thriller with good cast and acting. I think I wont remember this in future, but good for a one time watch :)
I thought it would be an occult mysterious movie but in reality its worse:
Just a drama about a selfish, annoying and horrible person. I found it really hard to care for her when all she does is avoid responsibility. She's just an immature person who doesn't know what she wants and constantly cries to make herself look like the victim. No thanks.
The storyline is pretty generic and is extremely predictable! Now, I'm open to watching even predictable plots if the execution itself is exciting enough. But thats not the case here. My "favorite" nonsense part had to be the implantation of the counter hypnotism:
To make a nice plot "twist" they thought it would be great to plant in a kind of 'fail safe', in case another hypnotist tries to access the patient's mind...THEN the other hypnotist plants in her OWN thing in the patient's head to take back to the original hypnotist OMG!! Stop it already!!!
Overall not a good experience, more a movie that you can watch together to laugh it off during the whole time..
What the.. Yea sure horror genre... more like a political message movie sigh. I thought this might be an interesting story to watch, but was soon disappointed by the continual political and stereotypical portraits, which results in a predictable and very poorly put together film. Black lives matter theme throughout - hooray thanks for reminding the dumb viewers that all humans are equal, Captain Obvious... -.-
That was my first horror movie from Nigeria and although acting and production is solid, the whole vibe its set was strange JUJU magic just didnt work for me. Maybe its because of the childish behaviour of the protagonists (maybe its a culture thing to do witchcraft and vodoo stuff in SA?) Who in the right mind would pour a drink of woman period blood, water of dead and serve that as a drink to win someones heart lol This is just one of the mini stories. No thanks, not my cup of tea! (And what is this language? Sometimes its all english and then mixed with foreign language? Its like indonesian language I believe :))
Another one to add to the: Terrifying old people sub-genre of horror movies lol Its not my favorite subgenre because I dont like people abusing each other. And of course its done here too. Ohh I hate the damn old hag grandma in this - it pains me to watch Susana being the victim of stupid witches who just cant accept that all things have to die - she changes diapers of the old bitch and what she get in the end... really felt with her :( Lets hope that not all grandmas are like that, that would be really hell!! Of course I hated the ending too. Otherwise as others have stated its a solid low budget horror movie, with good creepy atmosphere.Just the plot is not for me.
Just finished watching this slasher and now I'm bit perplexed. The ending is just bad and doesnt make any sense. I mean you can't just throw together a twist out of your left hand and make it work like this producer - so at the end, blondie was nuts too?! Why?! There were absolutely no sign of it lol - And brunette is a killer too because she killed all the others?? It does not make any sense at all. It needs some effort during the movie if one decide to go for such plot twists! Other than that, it was okay.... I guess..
Movie started very good with nice scare jumps and mysterious atmosphere. I also liked the theme of the movie (the whole comic art thing). I found this very innovative. At the end I really didnt like it because the last third of the movie felt a bit stretched. Im not a fan of trying to create a plot twist just for the sake of it in a movie that is otherwise a solid horrid movie. Also the ending...hmm
For a time waster this movie works just fine - its definately not a bad movie, but far from one of my favorites because of last third segment of movie. But you should decide for yourself :)
I have to say I thought the cinematography in the film was great. I liked the pace and the characters and was invested throughout. Nice drama and theres much worse out there. At first I didnt like the main lead role in this movie but she develops throughout the movie and its a joy.
I got so annoyed by the lead actress constant state of helplessness. At the end I just thought, what a stupid movie and I wasted my time.
I blame the director that he wanted to make this into a surreal and mystery art like movie instead of a simple thriller. A nice ambition, but bad news: It failed! Also the setting was quite lame too: Multiple calls from a telephone cell by Guy pearce threatining someone - yea wow, talk about variety... It just doesn't work. I'm not sure it tries that hard to work, to be honest. All around it feels like a weak effort.
I kinda like this move, this movie was unpredictable and very dark - its not a horror more like mystery noir movie. I just couldnt give it a higher rating because I dislike all forms of child abuse displayed in movies, so a medium rating by me.
This is more like a slow burn movie, it takes some time before any horror kicks in but when it does it's bloody, gruesome and pretty sick! However for a slasher B movie, it is well-done, the acting is good and there is plenty of female and male frontal nudity. So not for the prude type of people, but its also not "stupid" porn slasher style movie. I'd say its less porn, there are some nude/sex scenes but they're really not the heart of the movie. The acting is very good I think. Saying all of that none of it is what I'll remember this movie for. What really struck me in this movie was the portrayal of age and how it affects people and their relationships. It makes you think about it, which is a good thing for a sexy slaher movie - Recommended if you like to see a slow burn slasher movie and are not against some nude male and female shots (I'm a guy so thats fine with me lol)

Its a solid thai horror movie! I always say that if it is not that great, nor bad, it goes perfectly in the middle. Nothing more to say really
Normally I would love movies like these: Slow pacing, tense atmosphere, a cold island - but this time its the behaviour of the main protoganist Harry that really annoyed me here througout the whole plot. For me the movie came across less surreal and atmospheric. It was overshadowed by a stupid idiot (Harry) who willfully letting everyone around him think he's a drunken lunatic - oh same with his father by the way. Sorry but that ruined the movie for me, nothing more painful than watching 90min long idiots at work who I cant get behind as a viewer.
Overall I liked the movie! The cinematography was expected out of South Korea and the direction and story progression is well paced. It has an indie feel to it and a low budget vibe, but the young actors did a decent job and there are different characters in there which diverse personalities that makes the dynamic of the movie interesting. Solid popcorn movie.
Ah what a drama, I watched it in original languag (tagalog I believe, its english words suddenly mixed in) and well it didnt work for me - its all so emotional acting and yelling from the actors - it really didnt help to create a disturbing atmosphere. Acting was ok though. But some actions were over the top like the fat ugly nurse molesting the star lol
Solid indie horror movie, nothing special. Actors not likable - exception the bestie of main actress, Alice :) But there are some really amateur scenes in there which made me sigh. I.e. the cast just seemed to think that by wearing lab coats, and throw a stethoscope in the mix, everyone will believe these people are doctors, no matter what they do or say. LOL.
