I would have had a different approach making this movie, in spoiler just in case: I would've rather watched more of the main character growing up, settling into this new environment and becoming part of his new family, and rather see his return to India only in the end credits. Anyways, cinematography and the music was 10/10, and the movie itself is also worth watching, especially as it is based on a true story. Heartbreaking and excellent performance by Sunny Pawar!
A really disturbing, mind blowing and emotional piece. Now I regret not having seen this in the cinema.
This movie teaches us an important lesson about being honest. It might seem easy to get away with our little secrets, however innocent they might feel like. But technology is a double-edged weapon! Just make sure you have nothing to hide, be true to yourself and others. I loved how the movie ended, never anticipated something like that.
I didn't have much expectations and the movie lived up to that. It couldn't give me anything new in the genre, quite a typical space-alien-adventure, although it had some surprising moments which made me enjoy the movie. And 10/10 points for the score in the background; some elements will be familiar for you from Interstellar.
The story of this man, the memories of his closest folks are very touching, and the terror is unimaginable for us without these guys' dangerous work, for which I am grateful. However, as a movie it was a disappointment for me for its second half, the artificial, "Breaking the Magician's Code" themed scenes were unnecessary, they should have shown us more of Jim's actual work instead of those staged shots. Get your shit together HBO, this man deserved better.
Story is nice. The music and the choreography is great. But the lights, the colors, the cinematography... It's all magic and beauty, don't remember anything this gorgeous recently! Definitely going to watch again, and again, and again and again.
I have mixed feelings after finishing this series, but I would recommend it to everybody regardless. In my opinion you need a certain mood to be able to watch this, because it can be a bit abstact and heavy from time to time. I like that all the characters were well built-up, and you can find some qualities or life situations in common with almost all of them.
