I honestly thought this was going to fail, but it is entertaining as hell. Angela Bassett as a badass cop is just pure gold.
for me, this film felt the most like the original series out of the rest in the AOS series! having the crew stranded on an unknown world, separated, and trying to find their way back to each other - nothing feels more 'star trek' to me!
A perfect blend of action, comedy, adventure and what makes Star Trek, Star Trek.
As a trekkie I was not disapointed, it had me laughing, touched and captivated just like I was as a kid watching Star Trek.
2hrs of watching a dude draw, and an older dude read intently in order to remember stuff WE SAW IN THE FIRST TWO FUCKING MOVIES!!
For some reason this is one my all time favorite movies. I'm usually a sci-fi, action or fantasy movie fanatic. However, this movie just does just gets me every time, and I watch it whenever it come on TV.
When you go to McDonald's to order a Quarter Pounder and you take the first bite in a long time. The taste is exactly like what you expected. That is what its like watching this movie. No complaints.
This is by far the best movie in the Trilogy. It sticks to star trek ethos and manages to be entertaining at the same time
Incredibly funny and insulting and entirely English. Highly recommend!
It's kind of fascinating to watch, but seeing them rape the shit out of the earth is kind of depressing. They are just destroying huge swaths of pristine nature in the greed for gold. WTF. There are ways to make a living that don't involve destroying the ecosystem that keeps us all alive....
Downvote me if you like, but even if you enjoy this show, you should stay aware of the cost.
You're a funny guy Sully, I like you. That's why I'm going to kill you last.
There is a shot of Arnold Schwarzenegger feeding a deer with his daughter. That is a perfect sign that you're in for a great 80s action film. This movie is everything that I expect in this genre. The action is fantastic, the plot is simple yet engaging, and the one liners kill me every time.
Schwarzenegger is great in this role. Although he might not be a super believable drama actor, he knows how to be a strong, violent man as good as anyone out there. I genuinely believe it when he talks, punches, or shoots the hell out of people. Jumping off a plane's wheel into water as it takes off is totally unbelievable... until Arnold does it.
Our main villain is great too. He wears that metal shirt with a chain around his neck while speaking like an Australian dick. Perfect. The female tagalong is a bit ahead of the time too. She's a black woman that actually helps Schwarzenegger in his mission instead of just being continuously saved by him.
I took way too long to check this film out.
Armies back
Just seen this at the World premiere, incredibly funny/silly movie that only Sacha Baron Cohen could get away with
Well that’s one way to sort out a real-life cliffhanger, kill her off!
I like that the new character has a reason to be an avenger of justice, and that she has appeal.
Sad to see Kate go, but willing to give the new “Batwoman” a go.
Will decide after a couple of episodes to see.
Decent show that has some great footage. Must be some kind of religious requirement for getting your footage aired though. Tell me, if God saved you, was it him(or her) that killed the ones that died then? And was it Satan that sent the disaster your way in the first place?
Jaws 2 gets a bad rep just because it is the sequel to one of the "great", not because it's a particularly bad film. Sure... It is nowhere near the first one in quality, but it IS exciting, and it is better than a lot of the imitations that the phenomenon of Jaws brought. So... in my humble opinion, Jaws 2 deserves some love now and then.
If you've got time, get this watched, it won't be a waste of your time. The story will have you trusting no one, and keep you wanting to know what happens next and It comes with lots of fast paced action. A good performance from (Johnny Depp)
I love my 80's movies and the soundtracks back then, It fits right for the style of the movie and this is a classic from (Van Damme) that I've seen back In childhood and I can say It's still a cracking film. Lets forget about the 2 follow ups and the upcoming one starring (Steven Seagal) No thank you.
Garbage, to be sure, but it gets an extra couple of points for the surprisingly decent music score. Otherwise, a failed cash-in on Jaws, with a big name cast surely only in it for the money.
