Kindred is one of my favourite books and I was very excited to see it turned into a tv-series. As always with adaptations there will be changes and with this I actually really liked the changes. I thought they made the story even more interesting and I kind of like both knowing and not knowing what is going to happen. They did this really well.
How sad then to see that they canceled it already...
This was actually pretty good. It is of course predictable and cheesy but that's not necessarily a bad thing when it comes to these romantic christmas movies. Lindsay Lohan does a great job and I was so glad to see her well. I'm not even really a fan of hers but I just felt genuinely so happy to see her having fun and smiling after everything she's been through. Honestly made my day.
I wasn't sure Will Ferrell and Eurovision would mix well, but wow they did! I enjoyed this movie a lot. It was ridiculous in just the right way without really making too much fun of the contest. Also the cast was great, the cameos were amazing and the musical performances were on point. I honestly feel like this was the Eurovision of 2020 since there was no proper contest this year. LOVED it.
This was such a good movie that I'll probably watch it again when it gets closer to Christmas. Feels like an instant Christmas classic!
Boring interviews, mostly because of how bad Piers Morgan is at interviewing. And it really annoys me how every question he asks is a leading question. How on earth is this his job.
A well-made documentary that follows Mike Peterson and his defense team. It is obviously biased toward them. However from what I could see it did show both the defense and the prosecutions facts and claims throughout the trial, therefore the viewer can still make up their own mind by looking at the facts.
It is pretty clear, to me, that he did not kill his wife. I did even go into this thinking that he was guilty(without much knowledge of the case though) but there were no evidence that, for me, spoke to his guilt in any way or form. And then the absolute incompetence and ill will from the prosecution, police involved and forensic lab workers...?! Baffling.
I loved it! This is obviously a very interesting topic and the fact that these are real people makes it so much more fascinating.
The whole cast was terrific but Ed Kemper(Cameron Britton) was definitely the cherry on the top here. Incredibly creepy performance.
If you watch the first episode and don't like it, just keep watching. The second episode is where it really gets interesting.

Sweet/Vicious has quickly become one of my favourite shows airing right now. It's not exactly perfect but it is highly enjoyable.
Such a great movie. It's funny, it's smart, it's well-done and it made me angry and sad. Note to self: please, always remember who the bad guys in this world are.

Jesus christ, this might actually give me nightmares. Really liked it though and definitely looking forward to seeing the rest. Just you know, in a well lit room. During day time.
Moments of Ellen Page being so freaking adorable mixed with incredibly sad and terrifying situations but always somehow uplifting and hopeful.
I feel like I am a better human being for having watched an animated show about a horseman.
I didn't like this episode very much. They definitely took things too far and I think this was a very bad first episode because it doesn't at all represent the rest of the show. Thankfully I had heard very good things about it so I kept watching and the rest is a million times better.
I can't get over how amazing this show is. I feel like I have to lower all other ratings because nothing compares to this. Hopefully the season(s) to come will keep up the same quality, I have pretty high expectations and no doubt that they will exceed every one of them.
I also really want to read the books but I have to wait until the tv-show is finished because I don't want to be spoiled... which feels very weird because I'm definitely the type of person to always read the book first.
So in short, if you haven't seen it yet, oh my god what the f*ck are you doing with your life go watch it right now you idiot.
The only thing I don't like about this show is the intro music. It's ridiculous how much I dislike it, I feel almost physically ill from listening to it as you would from nails on a chalk board... I don't know, maybe I'm the only one who dislikes it so much but I really hope they change it for season 2.
The show in itself is awesome though!
I didn't know anything about the story when I started watching this, and because of the first episodes I thought this was a somewhat slow paced drama. Well NOPE... shit got real! Basically this was a great watch and I'm glad I picked it up.
The monologues makes this show very tedious. The acting, characters and the story isn't bad at all but the way they've shot this makes it completely unwatchable. I managed to get through the entire first episode but definitely won't bother with the rest.
Maybe this idea was interesting in theory but it doesn't work in reality, at least not for me.
I just absolutely, completely loved this! I started watching this with very low expectations and I think I've always been put off by the title "war and peace" to be honest. It makes it sound so flat and boring but this really was anything but boring! Great story, great acting, great characters, great everything.
I'm off to read the book now because I have to have more of this.
