What Nancy did for Dustin was really sweet. Why can’t she be like this the whole time? She’s much more interesting when she’s not chasing after a boy.
A backup, a hug, a fight and a kiss
El is the cutest BADASS character ever
This episode was amazing and beautiful, if there's more than 10 stars I would give it more
First let's talk about Steve, he's amazing, he's brave and kind.. Did you see how he was genuinely care about these kids and puts himself in danger just to protect them.. I gotta say he became one of my favorite characters in the show
Also lets talk about the kid who plays Will, gosh!! That kid is sooo talented, I was genuinely feeling his pain, he's so amazing and I'm sure he has a bright future ahead of him
The 3 ways attack bit was also amazing, seeing all the characters attack at the same time from different places was gold writing from the show runners.. I liked how the kids took Steve with them while he was unconscious LMAO, and he was like f*** it lets go burn that sh*t.. I still thing that Nancy doesn't deserve Steve, he's too good for her
Anyway, I didn't like that bit with Dustin and his pet, it felt stupid, I mean they're monsters after all so I don't see how that monster can form such feelings for human, anyway he died at the end we saw him next to the chocolate bar
About El, her scene closing that gate was simply EPIC, I loved how she towards the end used both her hands to push the monster back, and by doing that she actually became more powerful, so now we know El with 2 raised hands are unstoppable
Last thing is the Snow Ball party, it was sad and hilarious seeing Dustin get rejected one by one LMAO, but then Nancy saved his a**, then we saw Mike sitting alone and I had a feeling that El gonna show up, and she did!! She was beautiful and cute.. I'm glad that she's finally with Mike and she feels happy
It was a great season but now we have to wait a long time from season 3 :(((
what the hell am I watching and why...
This is easily the worst season of this show. This is my favourite show, and this season betrays everything that came before it. Seasons 1-3 were absolutely fantastic pieces of television, season 4 was excellent in a different way, and season 5 was still quite good in its own way, even though it was most certainly a different show. Season 6 is a different show yet again, and it is not just because Frank is no longer a character on the show.
The writing is bad and the pacing is bad. There is no more believability like there was in seasons 1-4. At least the acting is still top-notch (that's the one saving grace the show has). At the start of the season, I felt like I was watching some sort of mystery show rather than a political drama.
Doug was the best thing about this season. I thought that Claire would have been, as she has always been arguably the best part of the show, however, this season just has her going completely out of character. There are some good flashback scenes to her childhood, and those had me intrigued, but unfortunately they were never really followed up on.
Everything that worked this season was never really picked up on.
I must say, although my review of this season is mostly negative, I do say all of this in relation to House of Cards as a whole. I believe that if I am looking at this season as a stand-alone season of television, it most certainly isn't terrible, but rather it's actually quite entertaining and enjoyable. The issue comes when you step back and realise that this okay season of television is following on from 5 of the best seasons of television ever made.
no Spacey... no Play. Bye HoC :(
Doug is the best part of this season. Cathy's death was just... what? Then Usher just having Tom's body in such a public place?
lol, show jumped the shark
Was this show always this unrealistic and badly written? Wtf am I watching.
What the actual fuck is happening? What the hell have they done to my favourite show?
What an underwhelming ending. The whole season felt odd. The viewer could clearly tell that the writers had to improvise and that this wasn’t what they had originally planned. What a shame.
I have no idea why I should root for Claire, she‘s just as ruthless as Frank was. She killed off anyone who stood in her way. I love Robin Wright but Claire is a manipulative cunt.
What a bad ending to this once great show... This season made no sense at all.
"Waiting for an old friend".
Damn you Three-Eyed Raven!
Best lines
I’m waiting for an old friend - Bran
You left me for dead - Hound
I also robbed you - Arya
I’ve always had blue eyes! - Tormund
Whatever they want - Dany
but
It had its moments - Sansa
They need wheelchair ramps in Winterfell. They left Bran in the courtyard overnight!
Parallelism between Season 1 Episode 1 and Season 8 Episode 1
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
S08E01 Jon: "Where's Arya?" Sansa: "Lurking somewhere."Foreshadowing (from different Seasons/Episodes.)
01.
S03E05“ “Let’s not go back. Let’s stay here a while longer,” Ygritte tells Jon. “I don’t ever want to leave this cave, Jon Snow.” S08E01 “We could stay a thousand years. No one would find us,” Daenerys says to Jon.02.
Sam is suggesting rebelling against the Targaryen because they burned his father and brother alive. Similar to when Robert's Rebellion, began when Rhaegar Targaryen, allegedly abducted Robert's betrothed, Lyanna Stark.
Alright, an interesting start and it sure does look expensive, but something still feels off or missing. Like yeah, it looks really good, but it looks hollow or manufactured somehow. Still intriguing enough to keep going tho!
