If you watch just one episode of "Mythic Quest," make it this one. You don't even need to watch the pilot to understand it as it's 100% standalone. Just keep in mind the rest of the show is in a very different tone.
This particular episode is a heartfelt meditation on the power of a creative vision and how time threatens it. It's also really well acted and written. Funny, bittersweet, and surprising.
I gotta wonder if maybe this is the show the creators wanted to make from the get-go but had to compromise their vision until it became "Mythic Quest"...
Wow, I don't get shocked all that much but that ending was definitely shocking. Amazing first episode.
No idea from where or how this episode found its way in the middle of the show but quality wise might just be the best. It hits like a hammer. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea so not everyone will like it which is expected but even if you watch a single episode of this series make it this one and judge for yourself.
I don't remember the last time I cried in general, much less because of a tv show, but this did it. I'm glad this story was told in a short runtime and not stretched out into a full-length movie. It was concentrated and just perfect, not one second of filler. The casting, the acting, the writing, the music choices, the quiet moments, everything.
Did not expect something like this in the middle of this slightly above-average office sitcom, but it's maybe because it was so unexpected that I liked it even more. Could've done without the pointless post-credits scene, I guess they were obligated to tie it to the main show. Anyway I'd love to see an anthology series by the writers of this episode having full creative freedom and see what they come up with.
"Page 197 slaps" haha Dylan is a legend. Let's go, can't wait for the finale!!!
That was weird.
Definitely looks like Helly is at the board party.
The press conference scene is good money... “Mickey Mouse hands” LOL. We get a good plot twist of what the wife really expects out of Mr. Lasso... which makes me anxious too see how this series unfolds.
thank God someone finally said you shouldn't save the world by murdering innocent people.
I find it fascinating that this episode has been deemed not fit for viewing, while "A Serbian Film" is streaming free with ads on Vudu.
Oh wow, I love community. This episode somehow is even greater!
Morty has been the highlight of this season so far, his part of this episode was great. Summer makes me uncomfortable and all that was kinda weird but it was cool to see her and Rick connecting I guess.
It always amazes me how community handles such complex topics like this. Despite the funny facade this was another episode with a strong message. Pierce was horrendous but a) he needed to be to make this work and b) it is clear how very damaged he is to be like this.
On top of all that the show continues to be hilarious a humbling in all the right measures.
such a great star my god.
this is the best heroverse ever made.
everything thing is so high quality, the writing, acting, cinematography, soundtrack, everything is so good,I didn't even notice it was a 1 hour episode.
The Penguin series delivers a thrilling and unforgettable premiere episode that sets the stage for a gripping crime drama. The episode's opening scene, a brutal confrontation between Oswald Cobblepot and Carmine Falcone's son,Richie, establishes the show's dark and gritty tone. Colin Farrell's performance as the titular character is nothing short of extraordinary, capturing the character's complex motivations and ruthless ambition.
The introduction of Sofia Falcone, Richie's sister, adds a layer of intrigue and danger to the narrative. The actress portraying Sofia delivers a chilling performance, showcasing the character's sociopathic tendencies and ruthless ambition.
The Penguin successfully expands upon the world established in The Batman, offering us a compelling exploration of Gotham's underbelly. The series' cinematography and atmosphere are reminiscent of the film, creating a visually stunning and immersive experience.
Overall, the premiere episode of The Penguin is a 10/10 for me. It offers a thrilling and suspenseful narrative, featuring exceptional performances from the cast. and as a devoted fan of the Batman universe and someone who always seeked a true adaptation of the comic when it come to the batam universe I was not be disappointed.
This season is insufferable. jesus.
this "new era" has to end yesterday!
Pierce is a nightmare. :sob:This really hurt watching for about 4/5th of the show. Excelsior.
The ending and reveal of the narrator was great too.
That deep-fryer is comically small. No wonder the cafeteria can't make enough chicken fingers to keep up with demand! They're using a small counter-top appliance to do the job of commercial kitchen equipment.
Always lovely to see God punish one person to give another a second chance... no?
I am very late coming to the series having only started watching it a week and a half ago. But this by far is my favorite episode. And I hope they do have additional games, but I think it’s not likely.
Trakt needs to mark this episode as NOT available on Netflix, as it is NOT available on Netflix.
first impressions is that Ted is everything you love about Michael Scott without any of the annoying stuff. he has an image of incompetence but I get the feeling he is extremely capable.
great Jokes, character development and tones throughout.
Betty White explaining Inception to the tribesmen, one of whom hadn't seen it yet. Classic 2010!
