Budget Breaking Bad with amateur hour writing.
Great cast and great performances. I liked the first half a lot more than the second half. Didn't quite manage to keep the suspense going. The overall theme and story line was right down my alley but the writing did feel pretty far fetched more often than not. Questionable behavior from most of the leads, one too many crazy backstories and the far out ending just didn't make for a very believable movie.
Too bad. Did a lot of things right!

Not really sure I support that directorial decision, but other than that pretty dope post apocalyptic flick.
Had high hopes for this one. Great director and great cast. Started off strong with episode one but then proceeded to slowly decline. Episode 6 felt like 50 minutes of filler. Season finale felt a little flat. Wasn't a bad watch overall, but probably not among Garlands strongest work.
Liam Hemsworth was an absolute badass in this one. Great flick.
