Not as awesome as the first Avatar, but still love this world and want to see more of it. There is a comic coming out this june, and if history repeats itself they will make a few more comic books, then kill Korra and incarnate a new Avatar liek they did with Aang (I believe it was four comic books). I hope they bring it back!
I cant wait for the comic coming out this June. I need Korsami.
Good ending.I like how the vines automatically take over the destruction.
"I need to understand what suffering was, so I could become more compassionate to others; even peopl like Kuvira."
So much like Star Wars, from the trumpets in the fight scene, to the way Kuv's troops look, and the famaliar infiltration of a giant mechanical entity.
THIS TECHNOLOGY MAKES NO SENSE!
Its nice to see the president forced to cooperate.
You give metalbenders a bad name!
Zaheer knows that accessing the spiritual world is a journey within.
The buggest, scariest kite that ever flew.
The evolution in Osami's voice is perfect, especially when she was telling Korra to F off.
So much Star Wars with Toph training Korra in the Swamp. It makes me think of Luke Skywalker and YODA! Especially because both characters are dressed exactly the same as luke and yoda.
She be runnin from her Avatar destiny.
I really like Kuvira the Conqueror, and her evil theme music!
Huge spoiler alert in this comment but, and I'm definately not the first person to say this but; I feel like Zaheer tieing Korra up and poisoning her, and indeed all her tramatic experiences with Iman refrences sexual assualt. The way she talks about it afterward "I had no control", obviously strongly suggests. The ritual way in which they do is very real and scary for a kids show.
The best part of this episode is seeing how powerful Korra really is. Her firebending is amazingly strong because she has so much aggression and Zaheer is such a little pest in his fighting style.
Korra must willigly give herself over to save the air nation. Resembles Christ going to the cross.
First time we explicitly watch a murder in this series.
Iman killed a guy but we didn't see him die, he just got crushed by a bunch of wood. I'm not counting Tarlaq putting himself and his brother out of their misery because it was an explosion. That suffocation was brutal.
I agree with Zaheer, themiddle finger to governments. But killing people is not a revolution; thats the same way those who are in power got there; thats just more of the old world and old way- and it ends up leaving a vaccum of power.
The spirit lands on the map because Zhiboahs Grove is in the Spirit World!
Awesome airbender episode, bison are the original airbenders
Monk Tangzuh fasted for 100 days on whale tail island, getting his nourishment from the universe. I love that story.
Zaheer can out of body project more effectively than anyone ever on this show.
Now I see a side of Lin we don't like.
Yeah. Lin returns! I really like the idea of this secret conscription thing. I also ke the villian romance between Zaheer and the third eyed giant firebender lady. All of their fighting styles are awesome, I wish they had devoted the first three seasons to these villians and just cut out Iman and Unalaq.
Best part of this episode is Mako and Bolin finding their family.
Zaheer is so much better than all the other bad guys in LOK. He is the only bad guy in Avatar that didn't want to take over the world. The taking over the world bit worked great for Firelord Ozi, but not so much in Unalaq ad Iman, I think we were all sick of it by then. Zaheer on the other hand, he wants a new world order but he doesn't want to be king. The way he airbends is so chaotic also; Unalaq was too traditionally good of a waterbender to be interesting to watch and Iman just bloodbends and fake-dodges attacks which is super boring; Zaheer is a bad guy who's fighting style is actually threatening. Oh yeah, and, ZUKO!!!
"Instinct is a lie, told by a fearful body"
"Dont bend the elements, but energy within yourself", is the most easily applicable sentence in this story, and it has been said several times. The tree of time's roots connect spiritual world to the physical, just like the Avatar is the bridge.
"You are the son of Avatar Aang, I am the hope of future generations of airbenders" Being the new airbeder weighs heavy on him, but he is able to make it out of the fog of lost souls by confrontig himself, and acceting that he alone cannot move the wold toward a brighter future. Tenzin is not Avatar Aaangs legacy in a vaccum.
Whether or not Vato wins ad there is a new dark Avatar, this is a new age because all the past avatars are destroyed!
"Beggining of the New World Order" he wants to rule the whole world and become a "Dark Avatar" What kind of a fool would believe that he would be in control while Vato possessed him. Oh yeah, and Bumi is boss.
Bolin is boss. Yeah, yeah.
