Malakai and Douglas staying out of the whole "masculine cop show", and Malakai vehemently shaking his head "no" after they got asked if the boys didn't got the same SA ""education"" as the girls, were big BIG green flags! (Also, the suuuper outdated "don't give pr*dators a reason to attack you" picture was WILD.)

Fuuuck, poor Malakai at the end... :(
Did not like the threesome tho (Couldn't they have just consoled him as friends? Really everything has to revolve around sex?), and that everyone just left Amerie alone, like wtf.

I'm not a huge fan of how autism was/is portrayed, well, regarding its masking. I myself am not on the spectrum (afaik), but my brother is, and I have multiple friends that are, too, and they are doing some pretty seriously noticeable masking. As a viewer, Quinni has behaved like her unmasked self most of the time so far, only the restaurant scene was what I would call her masking, so I'm really not sure how Sasha didn't realize that Quinni is on the spectrum...
In any case, I don't have autism and I'm not a professional by any means, these are just my thoughts on this particular storyline.

Crazy that the toll guard's mistake was the most important link in the investigation. Probably the only mistake ever that made more people happy than not. :joy:

Felice's friend tying her hair up too when only she (Felice) was asked to do so was sooo considerate and cute of her!! :hearts: This little detail is so important in series, it shows how they not only continue with the main plot(s), but they also care about the "smaller" topics that were discussed too.

Dad having a heart-to-heart with Sara about mental health >>>
(Well, uhm, him almost immediately not being able to pick up his phone after he dropped Sara off - even tho he said she can call him anytime - was a disappointment...)

Obviously, murder wasn't the answer, but tbf I wouldn't call Tromain innocent either if he really went back and started throwing fists at two women. Also, they said nothing about his drink being potentially spiked (like how Mia's was, maybe), so what was his excuse for getting into the same bed as Mia, and just leave his own gf behind?
Again, not saying that violence was ever the right thing from anyone's part in this story. But I highly doubt that the main motive to kill him was racism if he acted in all kinds of nasty ways towards 4 women in total only that night.

Omggg, Ha-ri being so embarrassed and cringing about herself saying her thoughts (that that morning was her most wonderful in her life), then running away while kinda groaning/laughing the end of her sentence is sooo relatable! :joy:

Why is it so hard for literally EVERY main character to speak their mind without lying? Like bro, they are in their late 20s (the men maybe even already in their 30s), yet they can't talk things out like adults?

Ha-ri deflecting and saying that they won't work out anyway is one thing. But she did reject Tae-moo (even if that wasn't what her heart wanted). So Tae-moo saying that it doesn't matter how many times Ha-ri rejects him, he'll just keep trying and trying is a huuuge red flag. Accept the rejection. If Tae-moo would've been an uglier guy (and we didn't know about Ha-ri's feelings), everyone would think he's a creep for still clinging onto Ha-ri after a rejection put into words. But somehow it would be acceptable (again, with_out_ knowing about Ha-ri's true feelings) for him to keep going after Ha-ri even after he's been told "no"? Ugh.

I fucking love the grandpa! He's not only inclusive (with the gay implication), but also self-aware (making jokes about rich people and such) and funny af! Chillest grandpa ever! He also has a great charisma, and I genuinely love his hair and eyebrows! Okay, I'm done glorifying him.

Tae-moo most probably already knows for sure that Shin Ha-ri and Shin Geum-hui are the same person, there's just way too many coincidences now.
Oookay, after watching the episode until the end... yes, he definitely knows now. :joy::joy::joy: He looked so surprised though, like bro, come on, you're smarter than that... everyone is smarter than that!!

So I thought up until the very end of the episode that the assistant guy and Ha-ri's crush were the same person, just with and without glasses (I didn't question why did he had to take two jobs when the assistant job should be paying a lot in itself). :sob::joy: I was confused af as to 1) why didn't the guy recognize Ha-ri when he picked Tae-moo up from the date, and 2) what mess of a drama there will be when Ha-ri and Young-seo realize that Young-seo's newfound crush is Ha-ri's crush. :joy::joy: I must made this episode an even bigger rollercoaster for myself, lol. (Tbf, we mostly saw Min-woo in a dim light, so please, don't hate on me too much. :joy:)

So they make us believe that Ji Hyun is dead - by literally making the characters say "I'm glad I'm not your dead friend", "deadly accident" and shit like that -, then it turns out that he's alive and well (after 1 month)? Way to go...

The Eighth Sense: 1x06 The Ocean

The cinematographic decisions are so bad... If I knew that those and the "plot" (which just jumps from one place to the other as much as the visual scenes) were this bad, I wouldn't have started this series...

The sequence of the dialogues and the scenes was so weird. Idk how to describe it, but they just didn't really go well together. It felt awkward and not too logical. They had 40 minutes for the episode, they could've done it so much better... Even some 15-min long Korean BL drama episodes can do it, so why can't you?

What is this bullshit about suddenly giving the cold shoulder to Joke, saying that he (Zo) "needs to be with his family"? Why push away Joke because of that? He didn't do anything wrong, your parents like him (even though they don't know yet that he's your boyfriend - and currently you don't even act like that anyway), he likes your parents... so what's the issue here? Why is all this drama so necessary at the very end of every Thai BL series - in this case even at the cost of the drama not making any fucking sense?

I don't see how that "pep talk" of Zo's mom helped him realize that Joke was important to him... I don't even understand how a young adult is portrayed this dumb, that they don't realize how much another person means to them. Like bro... this is such a shit directing move...

Daily Dose of Sunshine: 1x12 Daily Dose of Sunshine

Since the romantic plotline did come true, I'd rather it would've been with Yu-chan. He has much more chemistry together with Da-eun, plus Dr. Dong didn't really do anything with Da-eun for her to fall in love with him. Other than saving her life. But no, really, they didn't once hang out, just met sometimes on the bus, and that was it. For me their relationship feels forced from Da-eun's side.

The other aspects of this show were amazing. I loved both the separate and the intertwined storylines, the little insight into different mental illnesses, and practical advice for those who are dealing with these, and for those whose loved one is the affected person.

Da-eun having a breakthrough, learning how to say no, starting complimenting herself is so so SO important to show to the audience. Making seemingly small steps like these can help a lot not just in the case of depression, but also in general self-esteem issues.

I was so ready to fight Dr. Dong if he would've still asked Da-eun out in her current condition. Kudos to him for asking her to go seek professional help, and kudos to Dr. Hwang for educating clueless Yu-chan about what not to say to a depressed person.

Damn, this was a hard-pill-to-swallow episode. I started crying multiple times throughout it, it was so, so well directed and executed. The very end was a bit weird to me, I don't think I've ever heard about this outcome (maybe a strong denial, but not actually forgetting the trauma that happened). I wonder how they will go around this topic - I'm guessing I'll need more tissues for the next episode too.

Not bad representations of a panic disorder. Like I wrote in my comment for the previous episode, it looks and feels different for everyone, so I couldn't really identify with these portrayals, however they can certainly be informative for people who are lucky enough to have not experienced a panic attack.
I liked the trainee guy's acting more (minus the really overdone parts) because he genuinely did look nervous and uncomfortable - which I can relate to (at least feeling that I must look like that) whenever I have a more serious anxiety situation going on. But again: Yu-chan must have a somewhat different type of panic disorder. The trainee seems to be having pretty bad anxiety-related symptoms too.

Love how Nurse Song stands up for Da-eun in cases like this. And the girlies helping Da-eun with the late night calls to get Mr. Kim a new place in another hospital! :relieved:

I guess Yu-chan had a panic attack at the very end - I'm really curious how will they paint that picture. I know panic attacks can look different for everyone, but I still feel like this amount of chest-grabbing and super heavy breathing was overplayed. I'd love to see a representation of an anxiety or panic attack when the person shows almost no sign that it's happening. Portraying them and overthinking with_out_ the overexaggerated physical symptoms.

I'm disappointed that they just have to ruin otherwise neat and informative, semi-serious K-dramas with "comedic" plotlines. There are thousands of rom-coms out there, if we wanted to watch those, we would. Please, give us K-dramas about serious topics with_out_ unnecessary, cringe "funny" parts.

Also, while I'd be fine with Da-eun finding love in this series (possible candidates are the study buddy and the tutor), I'd love to see this drama not having a romantic plotline. Just Da-eun being cat-and-dog friends with both Yu-chan and Dr. Hwang.

It was a long-ass road, and I'm really proud of my babies (this time referring to Anett and Tomi) for fighting and coming through stronger than ever. I think it was an unforgettable moment for both of them, especially for Anett, who, as she said, spent the 2nd anniversary of her car accident yet again proving that she's a beast (in the word's positive meaning), and realized that she already has all the things and feelings she needs.

Well, the finale was super predictable. The only surprise there was Tomi voting for Zsombor to win and not even mentioning Viki in his little "vote speech", cuz, you know, he went back on his word without saying anything to Viki about it...
All in all: congrats to Viki, she deserved it! She wasn't the person I wanted to win (that being Anett), but Viki truly did amazing both on the challenges, both as a human being.

I'm glad Tomi called Zsombor out and calmly explained it to him that his (Zsombor's) behaviour is not only too much for them (Tomi and Anett, and, of course, all the others) but it won't cut it in the long run either. Not for the ex-Buhawi team, not for Zsombor himself. Because - surprise - if you get into conflicts with half of the contestants, you won't get their vote if you were to end up in the last 2 standing.
