Coco needs to be added here. Thank you for building this list!
One of the best episodes. I laughed hysterically throughout! The jokes were relentless!
The commentary on the blu ray was very cool! Lots of interesting anecdotes.
I just caught this randomly on Amazon Prime. I'm familiar with Taika's recent work, but had missed this one. It's a gem!! I loved this movie. Funny, sweet and an all-around good time.
Schmaltzy, but good family fun.
It's well made, but I've been spoiled by the gorgeous work that BBC Earth is doing now. It was a little hard to fully invest with the huge drop in video quality. That said, it still has some style and the information doesn't seem to be too dated. It's an interesting watch as a huge BBC Earth fan.
I watched this series originally many years ago. I just finished rewatching the entire series with my fiancee and it was every bit as good the second time around. This episode is the best episode of television I have ever seen. I'm not usually compelled to cry during movies and TV shows, but this finale has gotten me twice. It's just so damn beautiful. I love the entirety of this show, but this finale solidifies Six Feet under as my favoritie show of all-time. Now I'm going to go listen to Sia - Breathe Me on repeat as I mourn Six Feet Under for a second time.
I really enjoyed this. I had minor gripes. The fade-to-black moments were very distracting. The ending as a whole, I didn't care for. I can put all that aside, because I really connected with the characters in this film. I felt their desperation and their compassion. Even the supporting characters were strong. There are a lot of good moments in this one. It's definitely worth a watch.
Side note: Hayley Squires, who plays Katie, totally reminds me of a British Mila Kunis. Couldn't shake that association throughout the whole film.
I thought this movie was really fun. I like shark movies, but they are all very similar. I thought this one differentiated itself enough from the pack to recommend this to anyone that's interested.
I loved this movie as a kid! I just noticed now, that the monster on the poster art looks nothing like the monster in the movie. So weird that both this movie and poster art are ingrained in my memory, but I never noticed that difference. Just rewatched it after many years and it still a super fun monster movie.
That episode was so tense! Masterfully done. I was more on the edge of my seat in that episode than any thriller I've seen lately. Probably the best episode of this show so far. Loved it!
When Mitch combed the bear is hardest I've laughed in this show so far. That one really got me.
I love this short. It feels like something that shouldn't even exist. Good nostalgia fun!
I wouldn't call it bad, but it's certainly not his best special.
That ending is the best!!
I wanted to care about this movie. The story is obviously one that should be told, and it certainly felt deeply personal to the narrator. However, I could barely keep an eye open. It was very sleepy and felt very much like homework. I felt guilty being so bored by such a tragic series of events, but it is what it is. I definitely wouldn't mind learning more about this setting though.
Watched this along with the "How Did This Get Made?" podcast. What a confused movie. Who was this made for? It has the style and intrigue of a bland children's movie, but it has the raunch of an adult comedy. What a bizarre movie.
This was entertaining. It failed a bit for me in attempting to be a realistic portrayal of what went on in this time period, when the interactions between characters constantly felt like they were out of a Lifetime movie. That said, the story and pacing were good enough to keep me interested throughout. A decent watch if it's readily available. I wouldn't go out of my way for this one.
While the subject matter is interesting, the production value reminds me of something I would have watched in a middle school class. It's a little tough to get past. Especially with all the great quality documentaries we have these days.
I LOVED this movie! I was lukewarm through the first half, but by the end I was completely sold. I can't recall another movie I've seen like it. It walked the line, rather brilliantly, between being extremely dark, and almost lighthearted and whimsical. It toys with you. One moment you're laughing at some punchline, the next you're repulsed. A few minutes later you may be laughing at a gag relating to the very thing you were repulsed by minutes ago! This movie is a trip and understandably polarizing. I can certainly see why it's not for everyone, but it totally worked for me. It's a unique film that I would absolutely recommend to anyone that is looking for something fresh.
I didn't know much about the topic going in, and I don't feel like I know much more after. I would have preferred a combination of testimony with some scientific research. Aside from that, the testimony wasn't all that interesting. This can be skipped.
This episode was so uncomfortable! Good episode.
Quite beautiful! I was very impressed by the visual element of this short. The story was fine but I kept catching myself focused on how great it looked. That alone is worth a watch of this 14-minute short.
The premise is so cool, but unfortunately the execution was a bit lacking. I wanted to like this movie so much! I found the human storyline boring. The dog storyline was far more interesting, but they didn't spend enough time with it. It's worth a watch for the originality and cool premise, but I would recommend keeping your expectations low to avoid disappointment.
I was very much enjoying this movie up until the end. They really lost me with how they tied things up. I didn't find it shocking. It felt almost tacked-on and over the top. I figured there must be more, so I read some theories people had about the movie and none were satisfying. With that said, the first two acts of the movie were very interesting. It's still worth a watch. Unfortunately, it lost quite a few points from me because of the ending.
Very moving documentary. I have so much respect for these guys. I could never do what they do. The utmost respect to these men that lay their life on the line.
I rated this movie super high, almost exclusively for the ride it took me on. I agree with what many others have said about the movie, but that never stopped me from being thoroughly entertained, start to finish. Martyrs has its share of problems, but it was a hell of a fun ride!
