One of the best episodes. I laughed hysterically throughout! The jokes were relentless!
I'm not a big reality TV person, but I saw the first few episodes of season 1 and quickly binged the first three seasons within a couple weeks. I'm hooked! I don't know what it is about this show, but it got it hooks in me for sure. It's a lot of fun!
It was refreshing to actually have a little bit of horror back in the show. Pretty cool episode.
Was that 100% animation? I legit couldn’t always tell if it was. There was a lot that seemed real. Fantastic episode. If that was fully animated, WOW!
I understand why this would have been appealing at the time of release. It's a bizarre and imaginative world filled with mystery, but this was impenetrable for me. It was very creative and many of the shows unanswered questions showed promise, but I don't think it did a good job on paying off on any of them. It's possible that I'm completely dense and missed much of what the show was trying to say, but the bigger issue here is that the show never convinced me to care. It setup a very interesting premise, and then kind of slogged through 17 episodes. To me it felt like a precursor to a show like "Lost", but it just never sank it hooks into me the way that show did. I appreciate what it was trying to do, but it was a joyless watch.
I watched this series originally many years ago. I just finished rewatching the entire series with my fiancee and it was every bit as good the second time around. This episode is the best episode of television I have ever seen. I'm not usually compelled to cry during movies and TV shows, but this finale has gotten me twice. It's just so damn beautiful. I love the entirety of this show, but this finale solidifies Six Feet under as my favoritie show of all-time. Now I'm going to go listen to Sia - Breathe Me on repeat as I mourn Six Feet Under for a second time.
I wouldn't call it bad, but it's certainly not his best special.
I loved this movie as a kid! I just noticed now, that the monster on the poster art looks nothing like the monster in the movie. So weird that both this movie and poster art are ingrained in my memory, but I never noticed that difference. Just rewatched it after many years and it still a super fun monster movie.
That episode was so tense! Masterfully done. I was more on the edge of my seat in that episode than any thriller I've seen lately. Probably the best episode of this show so far. Loved it!
That ending is the best!!
I was very much enjoying this movie up until the end. They really lost me with how they tied things up. I didn't find it shocking. It felt almost tacked-on and over the top. I figured there must be more, so I read some theories people had about the movie and none were satisfying. With that said, the first two acts of the movie were very interesting. It's still worth a watch. Unfortunately, it lost quite a few points from me because of the ending.
I rated this movie super high, almost exclusively for the ride it took me on. I agree with what many others have said about the movie, but that never stopped me from being thoroughly entertained, start to finish. Martyrs has its share of problems, but it was a hell of a fun ride!
I've seen a lot of cult docs, but I think the delusion on display in this one may top them all. I cannot wrap my head around what the hell went on here. lol
I had never heard of Ralph before watching this. I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the low energy delivery. Some very clever jokes. I'll be looking forward to seeing what he does in the future. Very funny!
I've gotta watch more movies with Chadwick Boseman. This movie was very good, but it was really him that drew me in.
When Mitch combed the bear is hardest I've laughed in this show so far. That one really got me.
This episode was so uncomfortable! Good episode.
The camera tech is very cool, but I find the episodes boring. Kind of surprising for such a short runtime on each episode. I watched the first two seasons, but I don’t think I will stick around for a third.
It was like an uplifting version of the Six Feet Under finale. More than I expected from this show. It was a perfect ending!
Absolutely stunning! I appreciate that the BBC Earth folks do not stray away from showing the brutality of nature. They strike a good balance. Some of the shots in this episode were straight up breathtaking. I will continue to watch everything they make. Looking forward to watching the rest of the series.
The Incredibles 2 is due to be added here. Thanks!
I was really enjoying this movie, but that last scene was horrible! I was going to give this an 8, but the last 10 seconds of the movie dropped it a whole star for me.
I really enjoyed this. I had minor gripes. The fade-to-black moments were very distracting. The ending as a whole, I didn't care for. I can put all that aside, because I really connected with the characters in this film. I felt their desperation and their compassion. Even the supporting characters were strong. There are a lot of good moments in this one. It's definitely worth a watch.
Side note: Hayley Squires, who plays Katie, totally reminds me of a British Mila Kunis. Couldn't shake that association throughout the whole film.
Watched this along with the "How Did This Get Made?" podcast. What a confused movie. Who was this made for? It has the style and intrigue of a bland children's movie, but it has the raunch of an adult comedy. What a bizarre movie.
Very moving documentary. I have so much respect for these guys. I could never do what they do. The utmost respect to these men that lay their life on the line.
The theme song goes hard. lol
The tonal shift didn’t really work for me. I enjoyed it much more during the crime thriller lead in than the horror section. It wasn’t terrible, but it definitely lost steam for me towards the end.
I was loving this movie until I realized where it was headed. Nothing against the message of the movie, but I’m just tired of horror with a deeper meaning. I just want engaging horror for horrors sake. Rant aside, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the movie. I just wish there was a horror explanation for everything and not a metaphor for the real world.
Thank you for maintaining these Oscar lists. I use them for my Plex Meta Manager config. They're awesome! I just caught a mistake in this list for you to update.
You have this movie in the list: https://trakt.tv/movies/detained-2015

What the hell is this weird Casa Amor format?
