I don't get all the praise this show has been receiving. It's not bad, by any means, but it's not that great either. Could it be great in the future? Sure, but the reviews are saying it already is, right now, and it really isn't.
Why did this happen? Why does this movie exist?
Pretty kickass show. Flawed, but I think it got enough things right that most of its missteps can be forgiven.
Easily the worst episode in what's a pretty awesome series so far. I don't know whose idea it was to do this "artsy" in medias res structure for the episode, but it didn't work. At all. It killed all the momentum, the pace, the hype, the tension; all of it gone.
We saw the conclusion before we saw what happened; there was no payoff, no stakes. The pathetic attempt at a "mystery" about what happened felt like pure padding. It bored me to sleep.
There's nothing this episode accomplished with the in medias res structure that couldn't have been achieved better by having it be in chronological order, like the previous episodes. What's more, using this structure actually hurt the episode. Here's hoping the following episodes don't do this again, cause I was having a great time up to 9.
Welp, I guess we're not having Daredevil season 3 anymore. Psych!
It's good, but they really should have made the first season have more than just four episodes. It's like if you got the first two episodes of Game of Thrones on the same day, but had to wait a year for the rest of the season. Looking forward to next year's season two.
(Too lazy to rewrite this, Season 2 is fucking awesome watch it.)
Would have been a 7 if it wasn't for the whole "motion sickness" factor.
Poor acting. Unbelievable characters. Boring, predictable plot. Outstandingly horrible sound, with voices absurdly low and music so unnecessarily loud the audio even distorts. Speaking of the loud audio, this movie has a tendency of increasing the volume of the BGM to mask the fact that little to nothing is actually happening on screen (which causes said distortions). Everything in this movie that isn't outright bad, is merely "okay" at best. It baffles me that so many people give such high praise to this movie.
If I were to grade this movie by the quality of its visuals and animation alone, it would EASILY get a 10. However, the plot's extreme predictability, sub par musical segments (even more so for Disney standards), and too much focus on the "for the kids" elements of the movie really dragged down what could have been a superb movie into being just an enjoyable one.
Danny Rand gave me an ulcer.
"At least you tried"/10
This movie was a gigantic waste of potential.
Star Wars is back on top, baby.
This movie was really cool. When it wasn't being really stupid, that is, which was often.
Well.... that was rather depressing...
Movie is pretty good, just be warned that if you have any particular expectations (especially those gotten from the trailers), wipe them all out completely before watching. If you don't, the movie's just gonna crush those expectations painfully and then laugh at you, and you'll have to deal with that before actually starting to enjoy it.
Holy shit man, a new season?? After all these years?? SWEET!!
This movie feels more like a parody of itself than anything else.
It was a cool movie, but like many people said, it lacks the "oomph" the other two had. Also like someone else said, I felt cheated with the Mandarin twist. That was, by far, the lowest point of the movie.
Amazing! Especially if you're a fan of the 90's Animated Series.
Had great expectations for this movie, being the first Brazilian action/adventure movie and all (or at least, the first one not based in modern "gangs vs. police" struggles). But alas, I was disappointed. This is one of those "all the good parts are in the trailer" movies.
