Le Samouraï

There is an undeniable beauty to this film. In it's meandering and quiet story telling, it tells the story of an assassin with a code of honor that he would rather die than break. Despite the distinct lack of exposition made by the main character, it is never hard to understand what he is thinking and feeling. He wants revenge, but he also wants solace. He gets to feel that solace at the end, when they see no intention of harm in his gun.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

Maybe the most beautiful metaphor for a gay awakening I've ever seen.

In the Mood for Love

Just like our end, we are covered with dirt. Like a secret nobody will ever hear.

An Autumn's Tale

Beautifully shot and surprisingly funny. An autumn's tale is exactly what the title describes, an ephemeral story in the red season of New York.

Few pieces of art truly make you feel the emotions that the creator was trying to convey. Be it happiness, melancholy, or anger. My mister makes you feel all of them at the same time. These characters felt as real as the sun, when it sets or rises. Never before has the end made me feel so distraught, but also full of love at the same time.

Blood Simple

This movie is hilarious, though I don't know how or why. It carries itself with a sense of awareness, it understands that it's absurd, and it relishes in it.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts: 3x02 Code Word Milkshake

The intro was fire. Maybe the best one so far

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts: 1x06 Ratland

Conflict in the party! The start of this episode was horrifying, but it lets us know how serious this shit is. The emotional conflict wolf is is going through makes it the best piece of character work we've seen so far.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts: 1x03 Real Cats Wear Plaid

Ya know, I thought this show was gonna be a bit more "serious". Maybe a little bit dark in some places, but at least so far... It's been a ray of sunshine. It completely depends on my mood, but I feel like I can really appreciate how optimistic the show has been so far. I wouldn't be opposed to a tone shift, but as of right now, I love what I am getting.

Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts: 1x01 Burrow Girl

Pretty good first episode. I love a show that just throws you in without a life vest. Kipo is an immediately endearing, if not naive kid. And wolf is the perfect foil to that naivete as our begrudged survivalist. We get a bunch of worldbuilding, cute absurdity, and some pretty decent cinematography. It's a level of cinematography I can't say I have seen from another show at this age range.

Overall this is a great way to open your show, and a great way to have your audience asking questions. As well as wanting more.
