Good Burger was probably my favorite movie as a kid. My parents always remind me how much I rented it.
This isn't a great movie but I enjoyed it. It's filled with nostalgia but that's what is fun. I would watch a third.
I'm not a swiftie but this was an impressive show. I only really knew about 1/4 of the songs but those all hit. The rest were pretty good. All the dancing and costumes were fun and bright. I don't think I'll ever watch the whole thing again but I probably will rewatch the Red and 1989 parts.
Nobody makes movies like Tom Cruise. I was hooked the entire time. Great action throughout but the plot was a little hard to follow at first. There are too many separate characters to follow. I loved Hayley Atwell and hope she sticks around in the series but killing off Rebecca Ferguson should be a crime. Can't wait for part two.
Seeing this again confirmed my feelings that this is a great movie but not as great as the last few Mission Impossibles. Some loose thoughts:
I'm still mad they killed Ilsa. She is such a great counterpart to Ethan. She deserves better than to just be part of Ethan's motivation. I'm holding out hope that she could come back somehow in the next one.
Grace is cool but is no replacement Ilsa.
Plot feels a little rough overall.
The cops following Ethan felt unnecessary. Maybe they will have something more to do in the second but in this one they felt extra.
The AI is interesting and I want to know more on what it can do.
Gabriel's backstory and motivation are lacking. Hopefully part 2 makes him a better character.
The train scene was great. The jump was overhyped but still impressive. The car chase was fun. None of these lived up to Fallout's stunts and that's not fair.
The second one can definitely make this better but for now on its own, it's a great movie.
Come for the animation and stay for the plot, themes, and music.
I want to see it again and have some more time to get all my thoughts on this. Initial reactions is it is not as fun as the first and not as emotional as the second. The music isn't as great as the others, still some good songs.
This is why I love movies. It has everything I want in one big epic. A truly incredible experience.
I got to see this in Imax 3D 24 frames per second and I think that is the ideal way to see it. Way less distracting then the high frame rate switching.
This might be the greatest movie ever made.
Better than the Fantastic Beasts movies. I wish it was longer and had more of the cast but still was a great nostalgia rush. Can't wait for the inevitable Cursed Child movie.
There is a lot to like here for everything new and fresh to the MCU. It looks different than other superhero movies. It is a little long and paced poorly. I think there were too many characters to focus on and not enough time to focus on all of them to care. This is lower tier MCU for me but I still enjoyed it and will probably watch again.
A great cast giving good performances with a solid Aaron Sorkin script.
Pretty good story with a solid cast. A little slow and long. It's great seeing Tom Holland doing something different.
Joker to The Irishman to this, does any actor have the range of movies that De Niro has?
It's long and has a lot going on but it got its hooks into me and I really liked it.
It has a good premise for a high school comedy but isn't that funny.
It's great seeing more of the goofy Bill and Ted. There are some fun twists on the first two movies.
I hear Corba Kai is great and never seen these before so I thought I would go through the movies before the show. This is a solid 80s sports drama.
I liked the live action parts more than the animated parts but it's Spongebob so its all good.
Still great and really funny.
One of the best shark movies. Blake Lively is great and Sully Seagull is the MVP.
An interesting concept but just an ok Netflix movie.
A silly fun movie full of good music and crazy car chases.
Better than the last one but still not as good as the first in the Kelvin timeline. Somewhat forgettable story but fun character moments.
Not as good as the reboot but still pretty good. I now recognize how similar this is to the other movie.
It's super fun with a great new cast and some old.
A young Tom Hardy as the villain is the only memorable thing about this.
I liked the mix of old and new crews. Patrick Stewart is great.
Decent sendoff for the original cast.
Not a great follow up to the last one and the most boring one so far.
This was a lot of fun and I liked the time travel fish out of water aspect.
It's really slow and the effects don't hold up great.
