Modern western done right. Taylor Sheridan's script is fantastic. Jeff Bridges and Chris Pine give amazing performances. This is one of my favorites.
A solid movie but probably shouldn't of won best picture. Colin Firth is great, especially is his cursing scene. That last speech was shot well.
"Beer leads to more beer"
That one of my favorite quotes. This is one of the Coen's best. Anton Chigurh is truly one of the greatest villains ever. Just relentlessly evil and smart. Javier Bardem is fantastic. The story takes a lot of risks, especially at the end and they work. It has the witty dialogue that the Coen's are known for. It's beautifully shot, which is expected with Roger Deakins. Overall it is a masterpiece.
"You can't stop what's coming"
I forgot how emotional the ending is. The boxing scenes are shot well. Great acting all around and the perfect narrator.
This was surprisingly tense. Seems a little unrealistic yet still possible. I wish they would of explained how it happened better.
Russell Crowe is very good. The movie does a good job of making us feel what he is going through.
I'm a little surprised this beat Fargo for best picture. I mean it's fine but not really that memorable. It's way too long and somewhat slow in many parts. Ralph Fiennes is good but everyone else was just ok. There were some beautiful desert landscapes.
There was very little dancing and only one wolf.
But seriously, this is great. A little long and slow, I watched the extended cut. Kevin Costner and Graham Greene are both good. Still a little upset this beat Goodfellas for best picture.
I love Tim Curry's energy in this. Michael McKean is great too.
It's fine but nowhere near as good as the first two.
I'm not sure if I'm in the minority or not but I think the first one is slightly better. This is still a masterpiece and probably the best sequel ever. I cared a lot more about Vito's story than Michael's.
I haven't seen this in full and uncut in a long time. Good news, it's still one of the best movies ever.
A nice easy watch. Simple straightforward plot but the songs are pretty good.
Billy Magnussen makes everything better.
A touching love story. Beautifully shot and an amazing score. Some great performances, especially Brian Tyree Henry (which he is having just a fantastic year).
Not bad but not great. Saoirse and Margot are both great but everything else is kinda dull. This could of used some more action and 20 minutes cut out.
The movie is too long. Some of the songs overstay their welcome and some aren't great. When this does work it's great. Emily Blunt is perfect casting.
Glenn Close is amazing. Jonathan Pryce is good. The story is fine, a little cliché.
It's basically the first one but worse. The CGI is laughably bad.
Kurt Russell is fun but the movie is weird and slow.
Such a beautiful film. So simple yet so effective. There are so many subtle things make this great.
A good movie about a bad man. A little on the nose and over the top but that's kinda the point. Christian Bale is fantastic and so is Amy Adams and Steve Carell. The editing is a little too much at times but great for the most part.
I loved the mid credit fake out.
Not even John C. Reilly could save this.
Some decent songs and a good story make this worth a watch.
A little slow at times but an emotional story and some great performances make this great.
It needed more Jack Black.
Boy, that sure was a lot of blood.
What a weird movie. Helena Howard is great but the rest of the movie doesn't work for me.
Jon Favreau is the best thing about this.
Richard Attenborough is a good Santa Claus but this is too long and brings nothing or special to the story. I'm sticking to the original.
