Gray Matter

No idea why this is rated so poorly, especially on IMDb. Is it the best movie ever? No. But it’s a good watch and very well done for its low budget. This isn’t a $100+ mil movie, probably not even $5 mil. It does have some typical troupes but it’s done rather well, acted well, and takes itself seriously and not campy like many low budget scifi movies often end up.

I liked it and wouldn’t mind seeing a sequel or some other kind of continuation of the story. It reminded me of Fast Color, another small budget mother/daughter super hero flick. If you liked that, I would think you’d like this.

The Wrath of Becky

Even better than the first! I hope they continue making more.

Lulu Wilson is awesome at being maniacal one moment and then caring in the next.

This wasn’t his best but Seann William Scott proves again that he can play an entertaining psychopathic villian.

Day of the Woman

Good grief. I can’t believe the sequences in this film. There is no glorification in this film. It’s tough to watch.

Very well done. A scifi flick for the thinking person that will definitely leave you pondering by movie’s end. The world needs more like this.

Raven's Hollow

It’s not the greatest in the genre but if you’re into gothic folk horror, it’s worth a watch. Reminded me of 90s/00s BBC movies.

Confess, Fletch

Not bad, and it has its moments of good laughs, decent mystery. Overall, though, it mostly just made me want to watch Chevy Chase’s Fletch movies.

The Cellar

This movie definitely doesn’t bring anything new to the horror genre, in fact it uses just about every cliche, but it was rather entertaining. It was atmospheric, moody, and had me thinking more about the underlying subject by the end.

It’s no A Dark Song but I think if you’re a fan of horror, you’ll find it worth the watch. Just don’t expect anything new.
