Good episode but also a typical June. Joseph was absolutely right when a demanded that the girl should return.
They sent out patrols and closed the city, to find the missing girl. That didn't only complicate the escape from the commander's house to the airport, as this episode explained.
It also made all the 52+ children being individually brought to the house a way greater challenge. Realistically an impossible challenge.
But for some reason the writers ignored this factor and only mused about final part of the escape to the airport, through the woods by foot. And miraculously all 52+ kids managed to bypass all patrols in advance of that final part.
Oh June. Some evil with an extra double dip of dumbness sprinkled with ignorance and hubris. Presented with a feisty face.
It's beyond any logic that in a society that harms even the most innocent figures, she remains pretty much unharmed despite her frequently challenging the system in the most absurd and childish ways.
Seriously, if the background story and details of the show plus many other characters wouldn't be so interesting, I'd have abandoned the series a long time ago. I certainly didn't stay for June.
Very powerful scenes with Emily and the scenery at the Boston Globe was even better.
But I swear, if this show wasn't showing the dangers of extremism and totalitarianism, I'd quit. This episode is peak June. Almost unbearable.
What a sad movie. Just some mindless splatter scenes and a stupid mom.
While there are plenty of monsters, like Serena or aunt Lydia, June is the woman I dislike most.
She very rarely acts smart for her own good. But her ignorance always might cost others too.
Like when she opened the package and registered what was inside. She didn't actually protect it as the treasure it is, she spread the letters all over the floor and even slept among them.
I only watched four out of 16 episodes but this is easily the weakest of the five k-dramas I've seen so far. I'll pass and move on to greener pastures.
The best part about this episode is that June is aware of her weakness. I really wonder how she wants to avoid being the girl trapped in a box.
Pretty dull, besides some few dialogues. Not sure if I should try more episodes or quit.
Finally a great episode. Serena's history and role made all the difference.
I don't know why but I still tend to underestimate what a great actress Dakota Johnson is.
Surprising movie. On the one hand it had some weird, cliché characters. On the other it felt quite refreshing when the movie gave space/time for a scene to fully unfold.
So you have an unique tool that gives you access to pretty much anything you might want but somehow all the people attempt to sell this for some modest amount of money?
This is just the greatest absurdity in this generally pathetic plot.
A promising movie, till the escalation. Shame how it all fell apart, though there still were some interesting dialogues.
One of those movies where the actual horror is the absurd decision making by the protagonist.
But I must admit that the performance by Jules Willcox was pretty remarkable.
I've rarely seen such a predictable plot. No surprise, no suspense, no entertainment. You really must have only the most rudimentary writing skills for such a lacklustre performance.
The action scenes aren't too exciting either.
But the greatest joke were the performances of The Baroness and Scarlett. Felt like a parody.
What a wonderful tense episode, with multiple individual breaking points. And they almost all faltered and failed.
Annabelle Dexter-Jones as Naomi was great too. Not to mention Holly Hunter, though she had more opportunity to shine in the previous episode.
Good topic but presented in a very boring story.
I still haven't figured out what excites people about this show. There is nothing clever about the plot, just an endless series of weakness and its results.
The first one was a decent experience, by genre standards. But besides Michelle Williams and some few dialogues between Eddie and Venom, there is nothing worthwhile about the second part.
Remarkable is how the action scenes lack an intelligent and entertaining concept even more so than the plot.
I love Asian family dramas but with all the praise and high ratings for this one, I kind of felt underwhelmed at the end.
It's a good movie but not as exceptional as Eat Drink Man Woman or The Joy Luck Club.
So many characters, all smiling and satisfied with the situation at the end. And none of them contributed anything of value through the complete season.
Ultimately the writers turned Agnes into a Borg, welcomed back old characters and introduced the nonsense apocalypse that will bother us in the next season.
Everything else that happened between Q snipping his fingers twice is irrelevant. So is this series.
I couldn't stand the original but this one was decent.
Quite a challenge to rate this movie. It has fresh and even surprising elements but also sometimes feels cheap, too unrealistic and brutal.
It's like the little, less sophisticated brother of Man on Fire.
A movie about shitting on the laws of physics just to tell a shitty story about some boring and meaningless family drama.
All over the place plot. So many absurd flaws. So many idiotic actions. I guess that's supposed to represent real life.
The movie I saw before "The Searchers" was "Monster Hunter". I considered that movie to be pretty boring, uninspired and with shockingly one-dimensional characters.
Then I saw The Searchers and everything was just as bad. Incredible that this was once considered a milestone. The only part that brought me some joy or entertainment was Vera Miles reading her letters.
I'm already tired of movies where the only "horror" is the lack of intelligence of ordinary people. But it's way more annoying when top professionals/scientists trained for such a scenario fail so miserably.
Some classic wise sentences, the rest is a waste of time.
This is my third K-drama and something they all seem to have in common is that the protagonists make a life decision that makes their life miserable, in the final episodes.
For nothing in return, for no other reason than stubbornness.
I don't get yet why this show is so highly rated. The characters and events aren't very intelligent, there is no real suspense. Boho, they are going to fight each other. So exciting!
Seriously, any good K-Drama has more realistic characters, a smarter and more exciting plot, greater emotions.
