If there's more than one "creature " (as it's implied in two moments) showing up in the very final minute, or even the credits, it would be a so much superior terror.
Being and Foster do great acting going against their normal Hollywood typecasting. Impressive story, well told and amazing the characterization and make-up work on all actors.
Much better than I thought it would be. Great fantasy adventure, in the best 80s fashion. It's extra fun for anyone who played the RPG and / or saw that cartoon (there's a funny homage). Great visual effects without looking plastic and the characteristics of each class is adapted very well. Fun.
Such great acting between Crozier and Fitzjames.
An underrated little great thing is how Daemon appears to become more wise with time and move to make up with his brother Viserys. Time heals some stuff. They truly like each other.
Thomas Jane is the perfect Aquaman.
Thomas Jane is the only good thing in this. Great work!
If it was less star crowded, would be a better movie. It's distracting.
About a detail, the way they introduce the mr. Knight costume as a Steven "iteration" of "the suit" is so creative (and funny, the poor guy tried his best with the word)! Unexpected to say the least (I started reading Moon Knight in the 80s). Great job.
Brida's death was very well done. Bring back all the story between the two back to season one. Moving and beautiful. Great directing.
A fun adventure movie, better than the childish second movie. Almost an (also fun) Avengers 2, Fiennes rocks.
Great one, better than I thought. Unusual, good paced and is the first one in a long time to break the MCU formulaic arc. And such beautiful images. Delightful to the eyes. Not much Kirby, but a very strong 70s cosmic Marvel feeling.
Great War movie, such expressive actors. The ending is superb.
Grande filme de guerra, atores expressivos. O final é ótimo! Recomendo
Star Wars Force Awakens feelings. Kinda a nostalgic rework of the first movie. Almost a Iteration.
Odd movie: I ended it disliking it a lot. A few hours pass (now) and in fact I'm already liking it a lot. I needed to read again some arthurian info to understand it better. Too cryptic. And I still think it could be some 20-30 shorter. The pace is a problem. The visual is awesome.
2 complaints:
1) I'm OK with Karly beating Walker because she has the serum and he is a normal soldier. But with both in the same chemicals, how in hell a young untrained girl is able to fight with an A+ profissional soldier? It's ridiculous.
2) JLD funny talk is misplaced. Doesn't match the rest of the show. Should be witty and dry, maybe menacing I guess, but landed out of nowhere almost goofy. "Call me Val, but not call me Val" is ... dumb
All together (not so well together) is a very inconsistent show. Try to tell so much stories, much more than has space for it. So it looses gravitas and direction. Deus Ex Machina everywhere, and so needy to be affirmative in so many fronts that the story looses.
All together (well, not so much well together in fact) the show is very inconsistent and try so much do so many things that it ends confuse and rushed. And I personally disliked that the final scene is basically showing a teenager doing a cold murder in a very calm mood. Chilling in a very bad way. Unnecessary and such a bad note to end a season.
I agree that the modern songs are a mistake. Takes you out of the narrative for nothing. The E01 had great period songs. Hoping the plot pays off.
Just a regular movie, but Sharlto Colper is excellent in his role. Amazing acting.
Simplesmente. Pine salva a atuação dela, basicamente.
It's fun in a roller-coaster way, if you turn off your brain. Gadot is a mointain of charisma and beauty, Pine is entertaining and Wiig and Pascal do great with little.
But Jenkins as a director has problems. The images are fine, the action kinda works, but there's no cohesion, no inner logic. It succumb to what she wants to show.
Not even talking about Pine for no reason appearing in others man's body (why, in a story about a wishing stone? It's the only case in the hole movie, the others wishes are full magic), and other: why Diana is never concerned with the obvious problem that Steve is mortal? And she's not? This big problem is never talked.
Gadot can't act. Just that. Surely she can looks, but that's it. Pine saves her acting in fact.
The non-existent logic is better show in one detail: the flying. Apart developing a 1st way with the invisible jet (well done) (1), latter the movie shows not one, nor two, but THREE others ways for Diana to fly: she can do does it naturally all by confidence I guess (2), then I can't understand why she uses the lasso to anchor/move the flying (in... rays? Clouds?) (3), than she uses the armor wings (4) somehow later. Where's logic?
And it's hard to accept such an experienced old character being so naive and shy in her normal life. She could be so more deeper and richer than a damsel waiting for Steve for decades. As anyone knows, it's perfectly possible to have multiple love interests in life (and enjoy that old flame anyway if the chance appears).
The movie was better before the worshipers show up and before the monster appear. What was suspenseful becomes a man vs monster. The movie tries to elude to some kind of conclusion of the supermarket thing, but forget it (so the mind thing the monster does(?) is never explained or clarified) and the weaker part is the rule ex-machina about the monster limilitation. The first house night was much frightening than the end. The monster design however is great. The initial mistery is good, and the cinematography is beautiful.
It's better than I thought it would be. Nice 80s dynamics in the trio of heroes (reminded me the buddy cops fever). It's honest entertaining. Equal part cliche and some original things. Lots of charisma in the main characters.
Solid B movie. Great production, action, respect the audience and almost no cliches. The end elevates all to some fresh terror implications. Liked a lot.
I've read the book first and it's so mich darker and grittier. But great movie anyway. Well done and faithful to the story.
It's a good movie, but only. At a certain point in the middle to the end, right when she discovers the diary, it could have been excellent, but as is common in some films, the script goes complicating to a point that depreciates the film. They just needed to explain better the grandma coven, made it more engaging. More catchy. That Paimon thing didn't work.
The ending is something scary and innovative, but the plot suffers. It is incomprehensible. Cryptic. It tries to be mysterious and full of signs, which make it shallow. Try to explain too much too late, without much sense or viewer involvement.
I've read the book, saw the movie and they both has the same problem: the authors do a great job at the start and the middle, but couldn't end properly. The book goes better, way better, but has this too. I read the all trilogy waiting for something great. But ends unsatisfactory.
Amazing. Stanley is indeed a fan and a master director. It's the very first time I saw Lovecraft being correctly represented on a movie. Nic Cage was just the perfect choice, but everybody do a great job. The sound is superb.
The show honors a lot the legacy and tone of Hammer films about Dracula. Theain actor is great. I have some mixed feelings, some things are very good, others are bad. It is worth the view I guess
Interesting for Lovecraft and Gore fans. Good art direction, great atmosphere. The plot is half baked, but it's also innovative in it's ways. Good for the right audience.
