I have mixed feelings about this show. In some scenarios, it was quite entertaining while in others it's a complete opposite.
Overall I think this show isn't worth recommending to others.
The best anime of Summer 2023!
While some might think the situations in this show are over-exaggerated I'll say that's the charms of Horimiya from the beginning. When this show got announced I was excited to finally see more from this series and now that the show's over, I still want more.
There's no point in highlighting the good points, just watch it. I assure you it'll be worth your time.
At first, this show felt a bit forced but soon I got used to the old-school romantic-comedy vibe it is offering.
With charming characters and a good animation, this became a great watch.
Just your seasonal low-budget Isekai. Ignoring it is recommended.
A highly underrated anime of this year.
I always enjoy the Shoujo genre because it always has a great story to offer and this was no exception. The calm yet intense plot was a great watch and I'd love to see a sequel in the future.
Nothing extraordinary from other titles of similar genre but I did enjoy the dark side of the old evil Pride. It made all the things she's doing now more meaningful and attached.
I'd have enjoyed it much more without the parody and the weird opening sequence. At the most it was decent.
PS: All Hail Buttai X.
I saw Zenia and thought it was going to be another anime with useless fan-service but it turns out she was just an idiot.
The interaction between Max and the Demon Lord quickly took my attention and the three-eyed character concept was a plus to that. If you're looking for something unique this is a definite watch.

I enjoyed the anime but it was still a copy of scenes taken from many other animes I've watched till now.
Looking past that, this was another typical romantic-comedy we see from time to time.
Among the good animes of this year, this is a definite recommendation for anime watchers.
The concept isn't anything extraordinary but the characters still made it enjoyable.
Just your typical rom-com. I'm glad they gave a proper closure with Season 2 after all this time.
Thicc!
A little aggressive and this show could've done a lot better but the laid-back vibe was a plus for a "slice-of-life" fan like me. The only downside would be the cutscene that came up almost everytime Ryza finished her alchemy.
Boring! The main theme of psychological trickery wasn't anywhere near that is needed and where is the ecchi-ness.
Won't be recommended from my end.
A decent low-budget slice of life. I won't recommend this anime but if you watch you won't get bored.
"Cute Guys doing Cute Things"! Don't judge, that's exactly what it was.
A heart-warming slice of life catered for female audiences.
A complete waste of time for me.
The kind of show you'll enjoy after a while into the show. I wasn't expecting it to be this good given the protagonist being so dull but by the end this show was totally worth watching.
The story was simple and straightforward, characters were quite engaging; Only if the protagonist would've held back a little (do business not war) this show would've been much better.
Regardless, it was decent.
A cliché but wholesome plot with lovable characters. While most of the interaction between the characters were pretty bland and predictable, I still enjoyed how each scenario unfolds.
My advice would be to forget about realism when starting this show.
A wholesome fantasy with a positive plot that got underrated. Overall it wasn't anything extraordinary but was worth watching.
This was unique and entertaining for sure but a little too positive making it lose it's thunder.
So many gender bent anime this season (Winter 2023) and this one was the best among them.
While the genre is highly-controversial but if you put that aside this is just a "cute girls doing cute things" themed anime for the most.
With entertaining characters and a catchy opening theme this became one of my top anime(s) of this year.
After the first few episodes this became unentertaining. Characters were decent at the most and the show got ended without a closure.
I won't recommend this one at all.
While the show was incredibly relaxing and heart-warming, the harem was a bit too uncontrolled. Characters were great so all water under the bridge.
This is a definite recommendation if you're into laid-back anime.
Most degenerate anime of Winter 2023 with nothing else to offer.
Villains were a bit exaggerated and don't know why but Rimuru's character felt pretty weak compared to the series however, it was a good movie overall.
Low budget "overpowered protagonist" anime of Winter 2023. We have one every season.
Good characters, a decent plot and a great animation; if only the killing techniques weren't so cringey.
Although, overall this show was great.
PS: I can't help but feel bad for Raizo at the end.
A light-hearted show with a proper balance of seriousness by the end. The interaction between the characters and their comedy got me hooked from the start. I'd definitely recommend this anime to others.
This anime had a great start but then it became all about philosophy. With the know-it-all attitude of the characters and shrinking animation quality this became one of those "watchable at best" anime(s).
