Harrison Ford's acting was boring. The CGI was bad. The movie took wayyyy too many liberties from the book. It's a very very very PG rated movie meant for kids, however...I think that does a disservice to the book and teaching kids the reality of life. Plenty of other stories out there for a feel good movie...
Don't waste your time with this if you're looking for a serious or even semi-serious movie version of the book.
Movie felt like just a generic Hallmark movie, so if you're into those sorts of movies, watch it, otherwise it'll just bore you.
Definitely your typical 90's action movie. Cliche one-liners, unrealistic explosions, 1000 round gun magazines, and everything else "Hollywood". Still, I love this movie. It's one of the better 90's action flicks out there. Grab some food and give it a view.
Just your typical military Red vs Blue "The Cold War is still here" action movie. Definitely reminded me of Red October...but too many moving pieces to have a good story line...basically no emotions towards the SEAL team members...nor for anyone else for that matter. Just my opinion.
