It's so cold out that the lake freezes in seconds but they have their coats open and no need of hats or gloves...
Ok. The first thing I noticed: they were throwng the cards in zero gravity... But when they put them down to put their helmets on, they set then on the table like they were at the kitchen table and the cards rested nicely on the table...
We really liked this production of JCS. The weak performance in all of this: John Legend as the Jesus character. All others were fantastic. Loved Alice Cooper as Herod.
There are more than 6 seasons of the Superfan episodes. Not sure why trakt isn't showing them..
I kinda wish these girls would stop windging and go see a doctor about their problems...
I am liking the show but...
The DNA report only said wether the two pieces of chewing gum had related DNA. There weren't any names given just the gum. So the report only said yes or no to the gum thing.
So when the girl read the letter she wouldn't have surmised that her dad was a Hanley.
Bit of a stretch there..
Only 37 minutes into the first episode and I'm liking it. Interesting mystery that has us hooked.
OK. for anyone that follows my comments, you know that I put these rom com Christmas movies on for my wife but I occasionally find a gem that I appreciate. This was one such film. Both characters are very likable. I may be a bit sentimental but I rather liked this one. If your wife likes these this will be OK with you.
So put this on for my wife. I planned to play on my tablet only giving the movie token attention. But dang was this a fun romp. I laughed. I cried (not really). I really liked this play on 1947 vs 2023. Good job Hallmark!
Sorry, didn't work for me. Too lighthearted and madcap fun for a serious topic for me. My wife liked it and the couple we went with liked it. The actors were attractive and likable... so if this is your cup of tea it will be enjoyable for you.
They dragged me to this. But I get to pick the movie next time.
I did like the first half of the movie. but cummon, the Home Depot thing was rather silly. Using Home Depot tools to one by one kill the inept bag guys.... Why didn't he just pick up one of the bad guy's gun and kill them that way? Sorry, I'm not a fan of silly super hero battles in a movie that is otherwise serious.
Not sure how Columbo proved he did it on this one. Kind of disappointed in this one. He detailed how the murder happened but I missed the part where he linked the murderer to it.
This movie had a profound effect on me when it came out in the 80s when I was a young guy in the navy. I didn't realize the reality of war and Viet Nam until I saw this. Watching it now these years later in the comfort of my beach home and retirement it brings me back to the horror that was Viet Nam.
It's never too late to be who you might have been...
Ok, not bad, but my wife and I called things that were about to happen right before they happened numerous times. Really nothing new here. But even so, the acting is good and the story may just be a good mystery. I'll do more and let you know.
Not sure what he wrote on the note. He doesn't know where he is, he doesn't know the address...
I don't know, I rather liked it... Yeah, it had some real potential that wasn't realized but the mood was pretty good.
There is a good story to be told here. The whole mystery of the family past and the Oslo incident is sufficiently interesting and fun to unfold.
But the film is marred.. maybe even ruined.. by the silly, incomprehensive plot devices that are used. First of all, there is the obligatory stupid scene where a car is chasing a girl and she runs away by running down the middle of the street. No actress should ever agree to do one of those scenes ever again.
There is a scene where the bad guy rams his car into the moving car with the good girl in it so he could then kidnap the girl. How did he happen to be at exactly the right place to do this? Why was he completely unharmed? How did he know he would be unharmed doing this?
There is a scene where the girl decides to go for a bike ride along a path by the river. Whoa! There's her boyfriend sitting there waiting for her a mile in for a surprise. How did he know to be there and get there in time for her to stumble upon him.
They ran out of time at the end so they had the girl just figure out the whole mom backstory IN HER SLEEP.
Yes, I'm being a bit picky but those things ruin a film for me. There are more but I'm boring myself writing them.
I really like T Colette and some of the other actors but I can't get above a 6 here.
OMG why is my wife liking this?
The characters were all very well acted but the story itself wasn't very deep. In fact it was a bit shallow.
Accent 355 is seriously hot. Good start. I find it harder and harder to really get invested in shows at this stage of life (low 60s). I've seen all this before. But I like a good apocalyptic romp so OK let's have go...
Ok good acting, but, it feels like a story told from a 2020 perspective, not from a historical perspective. Kind of tired of 2020 values showing up in my movies. The black men are strong. The women are strong. The men are weak. Is this true to history?
Amber calls her mom from a phone booth and Sarah looks at her phone and says "Amber's calling"
Why weren't Randall & Beth upset a week ago when 18 black people got shot in Chicago. Or 3 weeks ago when 10 people got shot. Or 4 weeks ago when......
How can the girl on the couch be screaming when she had tape over her mouth?
So nostalgic. I remember watching this with my mother when I was a young boy. I cried at the end then. Now... It's very sappy and dated, but if you can feel it, the fun is still there.
As much as l have liked these actors in the past, I just couldn't get past using these old guys to portray young gangsters. They had to have so much makeup on they at times looked cartoonish. Probably not going to be a popular opinion but I would have loved this movie if Scorcese had used younger, fresher faces in this.
Deniro playing a young, tuff truck driver, with his leather jacket and goofy hat just seemed silly.
This building is evidently very high security, covering up high tech shenanigans... but you can easily get in by pulling a couple wires in a box in the parking lot. oh and no guards.
Yes, kind of silly, but it was fun and I gotta admit I enjoyed it...
Season 2 airs on CW starting June 2, 2019
