Yet another narrative in which a man murders women just because, and also everything is too dark! Throw in a genius detective past his prime and antagonistic police who bumble around and get in the way, all set against the backdrop of rising Nazism, and you get... nothing new! Absolutely nothing new. This story has been told over and over and over again. And the slow, plodding pace and the gritty tone don't do the show any favors.
A total waste of time.
A fairly clever concept, but far more frustrating than funny
SO BORING. Maybe it gets better? But it's only eight episodes long! Such a short show doesn't have time to get better, it needs to start strong! If you have the patience for bland, atmospheric "comedies" in which the humor is next to nonexistent, then you might like this. But personally I prefer my comedies to be consistently, actually funny...
I really liked Deception. It wasn't a great show, but it had a good premise, solid characters, and tons of potential. But I'm thankful for this episode, because, as bad as the ending was, now I'm no longer upset about the cancellation! Not when I've been saved from an entire season of having to watch Jonathan gallivant around with that ugly, smug freak. Like, Cameron recognizes how unfair he's been to his brother, apologizes, and is literally in the middle of breaking him out of prison... and Jonathan decides to betray him and all his friends in order to team up with a woman who framed him for murder, got him incarcerated, and then chose to let him rot in jail instead of clearing his name??? And he decided to team up with her just HOURS after she betrayed him AGAIN. DUMB
Lbr, Will at 54 is still significantly hotter than 23-year-old Blake.
This was easily one of the worst episodes of anything I've ever seen. It turns out high people are just as annoying and painfully unfunny as drunk people! Who'd have guessed?!
Using a black man getting shot by police as a vehicle for a white woman's story is so inappropriate and racist.
