"I thought I was better than this. Dramatic voice over while stranded in space? I-I guess when you're dying, the first thing to go is your creativity."
Me: Nice reference to "Final Space"...
Them: Avengers: Endgame
Oh, well.
This was a very solid episode but I can't help but be disappointed after the fucking baller note that last season went out on. The new overarching antagonist they set up will never be as exciting as The Morty That Won (that's what I'm calling him now).
Urgh... this was 22 minutes but felt like an hour. I think I'm done with this show, haven't enjoyed it for a while.
A good episode. Able to sufficiently tie up last season's loose ends while opening up new possibilities. Had a lot of fanservice, but it was weaved naturally into the story so I'm fine with it. Also please don't have Rick Prime and Evil Morty team up that would be so unbelievably cringe
It’s going to be hard to top last season’s finale, but this opening episode felt like a classic Rick and Morty episode while setting up the main villain of this season and tying it into Rick’s backstory. Lots of great callbacks this episode too.
LOL, they had the wrong jerry the whole time and I knew it, anyway it doesn't matter. LOL
What episode was that?! They did it all wrong again! haha
Finally back to the good stuff. Not getting my hopes up tho season 5 started off great and went down hill with every episode.
Par-me-see-an
That was so good. The Rick and morty I love is back. The Rick Rick is after being from the reality we started at explains so much. This season is looking very promising so far.
Solid return but not as great as the best of R&M
It's good to have it back.
the cycle of Rick and Morty.
Great start to a season. Love every single throwback
Very strong episode that did a great job at setting up a great Avengers-level-threat for the sixth season, pitching Actually Rickest Rick as the looming villain who's coming for the main characters, while also balancing humor and some emotional gravitas. The heavy-handed exposition seems a bit gratuitous and probably won't age well since most people will binge the series, but it does help us recall what's happened in previous seasons to setup where we're at now since it's been awhile since we've gotten some episodes.
All in all this episode is a return to form and sets the bar pretty high for the rest of the season, although I am not quite sure if the rest of the series can live up to these lofty standards.
The titles for the season are in completely wrong order, ep 1 is Solaricks, ep 2 is Rick: A Mort Well Lived etc etc
Can only say on thing: That shit buzzin'!

So, was anyone else confused by it all?
