The terms were very humiliating. I don't know why Don accepted them. It wasn't about money, because he's been getting paid anyway. It didn't seem to be about the people there either, because he could tell that very few people were glad to see him. As Roger had pointed out, Don's work can't be matched, and he surely knows it. It was a no-brainer to me that he should have rejected the terms and accepted the offer from the other company. This way he'd not have to report to some seemingly talentless and grumpy nobody like Lou. Soon enough, he'd be rightfully respected again.
