[8.6/10] Another true classic. This is GOB at his GOB-iest, both getting into a pointless rivalry with his brother and enacting his idiotic, ill-thought-out plans with as much smarm and self-aggrandizement as possible. Michael trying to tolerate all of this, with his brother being CEO-in-name-only, and having it boil over at the job site is great. The escalation of the rock-paper-scissors gag is outstanding, and GOB’s flirtations with his “business model”, inability to understand the problems with his “solid as a rock” campaign, and imitations of politicians’ biggest gaffes are appropriately ridiculous and entertaining.

This is also the first real introduction of Ann as we know her. The wordplay of Michael referring to her as egg, and George Michael’s efforts to get her a diamond cream are the start of one of the show’s best running gags.

I’m also a big fan of Buster being enlisted in the army (thanks to a Michael Moore impersonator) and trying to get out of it by injuring himself at a job site (especially when he’s unsuccessful while Oscar gets all the bumps on the noggin). Between the ridiculousness of Oscar and Lucille trying to hide their affair, and Buster Bluth aping Buster Keaton, this bit’s a winner.

And Lindsey’s storyline is a good bit too. Her being repulsed by a homeless guy, trying to get past it, only to realize that it’s a movie star researching a role is a nice series of twists. And Tobias spying on her using his blue make up, only to pay off the diamond cream setup in a delightful misdirect, is just as good.

Overall, another Season 2 episode that is just great all around.
