All in all, Jack's ongoing slide to the dark side is not being handled well, and I don't blame the actor. Rather, it's been due to bad writing like what we got here, where Sam and Mary both do extremely dumb things. Mary's move, in particular, should have had the actress screaming at the writers and the director that "MARY ISN'T THIS STUPID!!!" Where Team Winchester is concerned, Dean and Cass were basically the only two in this one who didn't deserve to be slapped.
